What is geometry? It is the branch of mathematics that deals with the properties and relations of points, lines, surfaces etc. What is a line?
1/9
A line is a long one-dimensional mark or a long path that goes till infinity. What is a line segment? A line segment is a long mark or a line that connects two specific points.
All line segments are lines but not all lines are line segments.
What is the difference between a line and a line segment? A line is a long mark without any endpoints while a line segment is a long mark that has defined endpoints. What is an angle? An angle is a figure formed by two line segments or rays when they meet at a single point called the vertex. The 2 line segments are called the sides of the angle. It is denoted by the degree sign that is º.

For example, 90º means ninety degrees.
What are the types of angles? Angles are of three types: 1. Acute angle 2. Obtuse angle 3. Right angle Acute angle An angle formed by two rays or line segments less than 90 degrees and more than 0 degrees is called an acute angle. Examples – 45º, 50º, 10º, 89º, etc. Obtuse angle An angle formed by two rays or line segments more than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees is called an obtuse angle. Examples – 91º, 100º, 120º, etc. What is a right angle?
A 90 degrees angle formed by two rays or line segments is called a right angle.

What is the angle made by a straight line?
The angle made by a straight line is 180 degrees as shown in the image above.
What are complementary angles? When the sum of two angles is 90 degrees, then the two angles are said to be complementary to each other. Example –
In the image above, if we add 60 degrees and 30 degrees, we will form an angle that is 90 degrees. Therefore, these angles are said to be complementary angles.
What are supplementary angles? When the sum of two angles is 180 degrees, then the two angles are said to be supplementary to each other. Example –

In the image above, if we add 130 degrees and 50 degrees, we will form an angle that is 180 degrees. Therefore, these angles are said to be complementary angles.
