The Old Earth

De Oude Aarde museum in Giethoorn is filled with a unique collection of beautiful gems, minerals and fossils. the minerals are presented in their natural, unprocessed form. the museum was founded in 1969 by RenĂŠ Boissevain who made numerous expeditions to different countries, such as Australia, Madagascar, Brazil etc and brought many beautiful pieces into the museum.
