The Point is an infinity. The Line is a boundary. Infinity does not wish to be bound, while the boundary cannot conceive of anything that is beyond. Once that thought occurs, as far as Point can go, Line will follow. How far can they go? Meaning in Contradiction is a dialectic model that aims to reduce architecture (as a process of construction) to diagram through its most basic building blocks: the point and the line.
"If, in our growth, we can return as childish as we once were, if we can continue filling up a space until it’s empty, only then we would reach a stage of development unaffected by its complexity."
A presentation for the workshop Beyond Architecture organized by Megawra (Built Environment Collective) with the theme of Futility.
The topic of the presentation was briefly an attempt to investigate the notion of finding meaning in contradiction, and being through negation.
