ADVANCES IN STATE COMPETITION Artist

Chino Valley High School senior Isis Vides won “Best High School” divisional entry for the 2022-23 Arizona Arts Education Association YAM-Youth Arts Month Flag Design Competition. The theme this year was “Your Art, Your Voice.”

Her artwork will be shown at the 2023 NAEA (National Arts Education Association) Convention in San Antonio Texas, and the ADE (Arizona Dept. of Education) Event this March in Phoenix. She will also receive art gifts.

“We are very proud of Isis as her artwork went up against other high school artists from all over Arizona,” says CVHS Art teacher Helen Hyatt.

“Isis’ work ethic is incredible as an Art Portfolio student”.

Hyatt added Vides’ post-Cougar plans are to further her artistic journey at Yavapai College and then transfer to a university.
