A Christmas Adventure
Christmas was the most wonderful time of the year for Itsy and Bitsy. Even though he had finished making his list, he still had some things to take care of before his big Christmas party later this week. After breakfast Itsy was headed to see his friends at DON’S CHECK CASHING.
Itsy’s next stop was to take Bitsy to WAYSIDE ANIMAL HOSPITAL for his checkup and rabies vaccination. Bitsy loves visiting Dr. Martin and the staff. He was always excited to see the other dogs in the office. Itsy knows that Bitsy is in good hands at Wayside Animal Hospital.
Since Bitsy would be at the vet for a few hours this gave Itsy a chance to do some Christmas shopping. Downtown, fellow holiday shoppers wink and wave. There’s so much to see: beautiful window displays, decorations everywhere and lots of familiar, local faces.
Itsy visits his friends at LAKE MARTIN BOUTIQUE and picks up the perfect gifts for his sisters, Jingle and Bell.
After shopping Itsy needed to get some groceries for his Christmas party. Itsy had a big dinner planned full of delicious treats. RENFROE’S MARKET was the perfect place to buy everything on his list. On his way to the checkout counter Itsy thought, “I’m something.forgetting Oh yea, dog food! I almost forgot to get Bitsy’s dog food.”
At the end of the day Itsy was ready to pick up Bitsy, but quickly remembered he needed to make one more stop. He went to FARMERS & MERCHANTS BANK to deposit money into his checking account.
The teller asked, “Itsy is there anything else I can do for you today?” Itsy replied, “That’s all today, I hope you and everyone at the bank have a very Merry Christmas.”
Itsy needed a snack after picking up his car so he decided it was a good time to go by LAKE MARTIN CREAMERY. Itsy said, “You guys have the best ice cream in the Lake Martin area.”
Next Itsy went to check on Santa’s sleigh. It was having a complete overhaul at CLAYBROOK
AUTOMOTIVE. Itsy wanted to make sure it would be ready in time for Christmas. They have the friendliest and most professional staff & Itsy always enjoys visiting with them.
It was getting close to lunchtime. On his way to grab a bite to eat, Itsy stops to see his friends at JIM’S PHARMACY AT THE LAKE. He wanted to spread some Christmas cheer since he would not see them again until after the holidays.
As Itsy sat enjoying his favorite lunch at CARLOS MEXICAN GRILL, he thought about taking Bitsy for a walk this afternoon. After all Itsy didn’t have much on his to do list today and he knew that the next couple of days would be very busy getting ready for the Christmas party.
On his way home he had a better idea. “That’s perfect!” Itsy exclaimed. I will take Bitsy to SOUTHERN STAR PET GROOMING & BOARDING for a pre-Christmas Grooming.
The staff at Southern Star always treat Bitsy like she is their own. It would also be the perfect chance for her to run around and play with the other dogs.
The next morning Itsy ran around town buying the rest of the presents on his list. His last stop was at RUSSELL BUILDING SUPPLY. He bought tools, paint and a grill for his friends Tinsel, Jolly and Buddy. Itsy was excited to finish his Christmas shopping.
Itsy rushed home. It was time to get the house ready for the Christmas party. The friendly folks from MAID IN AMERICA CLEANING SERVICES cleaned his home while Itsy and Bitsy made sure they had plenty of room for the party and their guests. “Oh no! With all of my shopping and running around I forgot to get a Christmas tree!” Itsy shouted.
That afternoon Itsy went to pick out the perfect Christmas tree. The tree lot was bustling with people. Christmas music was playing on the speakers. Itsy saw his neighbors the Smith family. “Merry Christmas Itsy,” said Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
When Itsy arrived home with the tree, Bitsy was waiting to help decorate. They decked out the entire home with festive lights and fun decorations. Itsy made sure to put the tree next to the new windows from ALEX CITY GLASS. He wanted to make sure people driving by could see the tree through the windows. Then they wrapped up all of the great gifts and set them under the tree.
On the day of the Christmas party, Itsy couldn’t wait to start cooking! He prepared a yummy turkey and all of his favorite fixings. He thought how lucky he and Bitsy were to have such a wonderful group of friends. Just as Itsy was putting the finishing touches on his dinner, the doorbell rang. “I can’t believe it,” thought Itsy, “is it already time for the party?”
Itsy’s elf friends thought his house was beautiful and couldn’t wait to start the party. “What are we going to do first?” Tinsel asked.
Itsy had a surprise up his sleeve. He said, I was looking at the TALLAPOOSA COUNTY TOURISM’S website at all of the wonderful things to do on Lake Martin. After Christmas we are going to charter a fishing trip and zip line at Wind Creek.
As they sat down to eat Christmas dinner, Itsy could not get over how much food he had prepared and how beautiful everything was. He was glad that LAKE MARTIN
INSPECTIONS
came out to inspect his home before the party, which gave him peace of mind. Everyone had a wonderful time and couldn’t wait until next year’s party.
