We forget when our world view narrows. As long as we stay in our own personal worlds, we are usually forgetful. In times when the confines of our limited personal perspectives are shattered, however, we are forced to look at the bigger picture.

I don’t know about you, but I do not see this as a bad thing. Again, I am in no way calling for a celebration of crisis and disaster. I am advocating for allowing the ways of God to inform daily living more often than not.

FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

First Presbyterian Church, located at 514 Central Blvd. will host a Veteran’s Day Celebration on Nov. 11 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. for all veterans and first responders and their family members.
