THE INDUSTRIAL BUILDING WITH POOL COURTYARD Conceptual strategies To restore and preserve the habitat like existing trees ,and create a pond to enhance bi o-diversity of the site. In addition t,bio-swale also controls the runoff storm-water coming from the roof. The diagonal axis, on the orientation of the building allows maximum daylight to the factory and the office. Horizontal sun shading devices will be applied to protect the building from the harsh sun coming from south-w estside.

A bicycle rack,shower, and car charging station provided to promote an alternative transportation. I also created an open green space at the center of the building. The space interlocked between the assembly area and packaging area that

create a visual connection to outside so that both workers and staff enjoy the view on duty.

THE OFFICE BUILDING

CAPTURE THE NATURE The main idea of our building is to capture natural element, create a system that is easy to navigate and access, also to connect our building with the surrounding community. The orientation of our build was designed an angle with our curtain wall facing south as it, allows for maximum use of the harmful affects of the sum so, a strategically built landscape is introduce, with trees and floral bushes, allowing for shade from the sun and water retention element as well. A wind path study of his area was done and our building orientation a also takes full advantage of this natural element to help cool ourbuilding.

Precast panel and sun shading devices are elements are implement on north side creating insulated on theothers sides as well creating noise barrier. Heating and cooling are done fairly easily and sufficiently by splitting our buildings which allow the air to move throughout the building easily. Nevertheless the structures are connected by the

service core which centralized and easily accessible to alloccupants. Creating smooth circulation as request by the client. Our client proposed an underground parking as well as on the surface but we went with two level underground parking allowing more green area and more pleasant look to the property.

THE RESIDENTIAL BUILDING

PRESENTED WITH PHYSICAL MODEL This is an introduction to residential wood-frame construction and during which I prepared working drawings and a framing model for a house. It also helped to acquire knowledge and skills in working drawing conventions and techniques, construction systems and details, and building code requirements. Drawings are prepared using AutoCAD in metric units and incompliance with Part 9 of the Ontario Building Code and further discussion of sustainable design in architectural technology.
