Addinelly Moreno Soto- Director of Communications & Special Events Addinelly "Addy" Moreno Soto currently serves as the Communications Director for the City Council Office in District 3, where she oversees all social media channels and communications for the office. In addition to managing these responsibilities, she acts as a vital public liaison. Outside of her public service role, Addy has been a professional hairstylist since 2009, offering her services to residents throughout San Antonio. As a proud small business owner, she operates her own mobile hair salon, known as La Paloma. Addy is dedicated to giving back to her community and frequently donates her time during Back-to-School events by providing free haircuts. Addy's educational background includes graduating from Brackenridge High School, Palo Alto Community College, and earning a degree in bilingual education from Texas A&M-San Antonio. Prior to her current position, Addy dedicated herself to education as a bilingual schoolteacher in Southwest ISD. Later, she transitioned to a role as a branch office administrator for a financial firm. Addy is also recognized for her expertise as a speaker, having participated in various events including the Convocation for the 2020 class, a TAMUSA financial literacy event in 2021, and the Latina Leadership Day for South Texas Business Partners in 2022. Currently, she is part of the 2023 LEAD South leadership class and plans to enroll soon for the Accreditation Public Relations Certification. Addy's accomplishments have been recognized with prestigious awards, including the 2020 Edward Jones Founder Achievement Award and the esteemed 2022 Texas A&M-San Antonio Dr. Cynthia Teniente-Matson Jag Women Rock! Award. In her personal life, Addy tied the knot with her high school sweetheart, Felix, in 2014. The couple is blessed with two handsome boys, Giovanni and Lucciano. A fascinating tidbit about Addy is that despite being limited to traveling only within the U.S. as a DACA recipient, she has managed to explore 11 different states and still cherishes her love for travel.
