January 3-Tuition & fee payment deadline. A $35 fee will be assessed for paying after this date

January 6- Drop for non‐payment

January 7- Last day for students withdrawing to receive 100% refund (0% responsibility) for tuition

January 10- First day of classes

January 12- Last day to register

January 13- Census Date

January 13- Drop for non‐payment Students dropped on this date will be assessed a $363 fee for reinstatement after this date

January 17- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

January 26- Last day for students to apply for graduation this term

January 26- Deadline for this term's graduation applicants to complete Change of Name and/or Change of Major form(s) at the Welcome Center

January 28- Last day to drop with an automatic grade of "W"

CLIFTON STRENGTHS

Clifton Strengths Finder is an assessment that provides results of your top strengths! Here at A&MSA we have training Strengths Coaches, are looking for Strengths Champions, and want to focus on utilizing strengths to your advantage over focusing on weaknesses. All first year freshment take this assessment and other students have an opportunity to based on their university engagements.

Are you interested in getting your top 5 strengths as a parent or family member? If so, review the Clifton Strengths site and send an interest email to family@tamusa.edu. You may also take the assessment directly from the website.

Help us help you cultivate your best self, relate to your student, family members, and other contacts in a more productive way. Remember, we love your students but you are just as important to us!

After the assessment, if you are interested in coaching or wanting to better understand your strengths, email family@tamusa.edu to set up a coaching session!

HEALTH AND WELLNESS

Seven A&M-San Antonio faculty and staff members collaborated to share their expertise on ways students can enhance their overall well-being. This article provides an overview of eight wellness domains and includes practical tips individuals can implement to maximize wellbeing in each respective domain. This article has been published on the Dean of Students website. Clarity Child Guidance Center is a not-for-profit solely dedicated to mental health care for children ages 3-17. They provide the following services as well as free screening and financial aid: child, adolescent, and family therapy (ages 4-17) brief therapy (ages 4-17) group therapy (ages 14-17) psychological assessment (ages 4-17) psychiatric evaluation and management (ages 5-17) day treatment, acute and inpatient care For more information visit www.claritycgc.org or call (210)-616-0300

The LIFT program is designed to teach students of Texas A&M University-San Antonio about digital literacies, how to effectively navigate through the various online university platforms (Blackboard, Jagwire, etc.), and more. Courtesy of the Office of Student Success and Engagement, students who successfully complete the program will receive a FREE Dell Latitude 3310 laptop to keep! The laptop does not have to be returned to the university. Check JagSync for more info!

Student Counseling Center

Now available 24/7 for all students!

In order to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 Delta Variant, the Student Counseling Center will primarily offer services via phone and/or Webex. Any students interested in scheduling an appointment should call (210) 784-1331 Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. If you are experiencing a crisis and/or emergency, please call (210) 784-1331 or visit the Student Counseling Center in Modular C (rear entrance) any time Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Looking for a summer job or internship? Is your student looking for a job or internship? Look no further! The Office of Family Engagement has you covered. Just head over to Handshake, our online system. On Handshake, your student will find many opportunities including postings, career events, work study opportunities, and more.

To begin, have your student go to Handshake and log into JagWire with their credentials. For more information or a quick guide on how to log into Handshake, please click here.

Please note that your student will be sent a verification to their University email, and this gets caught in spam sometimes. Have them check that folder to be able to verify.
