CLIFTON STRENGTHS
Clifton Strengths Finder is an assessment that provides results of your top strengths! Here at A&MSA we have training Strengths Coaches, are looking for Strengths Champions, and want to focus on utilizing strengths to your advantage over focusing on weaknesses. All first year freshment take this assessment and other students have an opportunity to based on their university engagements. Are you interested in getting your top 5 strengths as a parent or family member? If so, review the Clifton Strengths site and send an interest email to family@tamusa.edu. You may also take the assessment directly from the website. Help us help you cultivate your best self, relate to your student, family members, and other contacts in a more productive way. Remember, we love your students but you are just as important to us! After the assessment, if you are interested in coaching or wanting to better understand your strengths, email family@tamusa.edu to set up a coaching session! We hope to hear from you! Please submit your nomination for the following three categories: Family Member of the Year Nominees for this award are either family members of current students or student-parents at A&M-SA who have been highly involved on campus, involved with students or on behalf of students, or simply have served as a major support for their own jaguar student. Fighting for Jaguars Nominees for this award are either family members of current students or student-parents at A&M-SA who have intentionally fought for jaguar students. Examples include, communicating with administration regarding issues facing their student, a certain student demographic, or students in general; mentoring students facing challenges, volunteering in support of jaguar students, etc. Family Association Member of the Year Nominees for this award are family members of current students who are active members of Family Association.

Seven A&M-San Antonio faculty and staff members collaborated to share their expertise on ways students can enhance their overall well-being. This article provides an overview of eight wellness domains and includes practical tips individuals can implement to maximize wellbeing in each respective domain. This article has been published on the Dean of Students website. Clarity Child Guidance Center is a not-for-profit solely dedicated to mental health care for children ages 3-17. Looking for a summer job or internship? Is your student looking for a job or internship? Look no further! The Office of Family Engagement has you covered. Just head over to Handshake, our online system. On Handshake, your student will find many opportunities including postings, career events, work study opportunities, and more. To begin, have your student go to Handshake and log into JagWire with their credentials. For more information or a quick guide on how to log into Handshake, please click here. Please note that your student will be sent a verification to their University email, and this gets caught in spam sometimes. Have them check that folder to be able to verify.
