GUIDE
ONE
CHOOSE A MAJOR AND FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH THE ACADEMIC COLLEGE GUIDELINES Each academic major has its own admission requirements to Texas A&M University Galveston Campus. Meeting the Texas A&M University Galveston Campus minimum transfer requirements does not guarantee admission to specific academic majors.
SPECIFYING A MAJOR You must apply to a specific major within an academic department and you will be given the option to list a second-choice major.
GRADE POINT AVERAGE (GPA) A 2.5 GPA on a minimum of 24 hours of graded transferable coursework is required for review. Credit by examination courses (AP, IB, CLEP) will not count towards the 24 hours required for consideration for admission. Grades for all transferable courses are used to calculate GPA, including: failing grades, repeated courses, Withdraw/Fail, Incomplete, etc. Texas A&M University Galveston Campus does not replace grades. Grades reported as Incomplete are computed as an F. Plus and minus grade designations are not used; C+ is computed as a C, B- as a B, etc.

If you are applying for admission you may be asked to submit final grades before a decision is made. Frequent course drops/withdraws and unsatisfactory grades (D or F, depending on intended major) are considered in review.
