The landscape around Lech is covered in a thick white blanket, pretty Christmas lights decorate the houses, smoke curls up from the fireplaces and the aromatic scent of Glühwein is in the air – it’s the most beautiful time of the year, a time to contemplate the important things in life and to find peace.
Zur Adventzeit unternehmen wir gemeinsam romantische Fackel- oder Schneeschuhwanderungen, liefern uns lustige Schneeballschlachten, backen Kekse und genießen heiße Maroni und Glühwein am Lecher Christkindlmarkt. Sanfte Töne heimischer Chöre, Bläsergruppen und zahlreiche Stände mit heimischen Köstlichkeiten verwandeln den Rüfikopfplatz in einen Ort, an dem Sie verweilen, ruhen und staunen können.
During Advent time we take romantic torch lit walks through the snow, or snow shoe walking, have fun with snow ball fights, bake Christmas biscuits and enjoy hot chestnuts and Glühwein at the Lech Christkindl Market. Gentle tones waft through the air from the local choirs and brass bands and the market stands are full of delicious local delicacies transforming the Rüfikopfplatz into a place of peace, tranquillity and wonder.

Unser Tipp: Zur Adventzeit ist es auf den Arlberger Skipisten noch etwas „ruhiger“. Schwingen Sie sich frei im frisch gefallenen Schnee der beginnenden Skisaison!
Our tip: During Advent time it’s always a lot “quieter” on the Arlberg ski slopes. This means that you can enjoy freedom on the slopes in the freshly fallen snow at the beginning of the skiing season.

A Winter Link
40 Jahre lang hat man davon geträumt – im vergangenen Winter ging der langersehnte Wunsch endlich in Erfüllung: die Verbindung der Skigebiete Lech-Zürs und Warth-Schröcken. Mit Begeisterung wurde der Auenfeldjet von Gästen aus aller Welt angenommen, viele sprechen von einem ganz neuen Pistenerlebnis!
It’s been a dream for 40 years – and last winter it became a reality: the ski link between the Lech-Zürs and Warth-Schröcken ski regions. Guests from all over the world were able to try out the new Auenfeldjet and many of them were absolutely amazed at the endless fun on so many ski slopes!
Die neue Verbindung mit 340 Abfahrtskilometern bringt mehr Vielfalt ins Skivergnügen: Je nach Sonneneinstrahlung stehen auch an den Nordhängen reichlich Abfahrten zur Verfügung, die besondere Qualität für sportlich Ambitionierte und Genuss-Skifahrer bereitstellen. Urige Skihütten und eine wunderschöne Landschaft runden die Erweiterung des Skigebietes Ski Arlberg ab.
The new link opens up more variety and diversity for skiing with 340 kilometres of runs. Depending on the amount of sunshine on the northern slopes there are plenty of runs which are ideal for both sport ambitious and pleasure skiers. Traditional mountain ski huts and a gorgeous landscape complete the new extension to the Ski Arlberg region.

“Der Weiße Ring”das Rennen
“The White Ring”the race
Der Weiße Ring – eine im Alpenraum einzigartige Skirunde – verbindet mit Hilfe von Pisten und Liften Lech mit Zürs, Zug und Oberlech. Zum 50jährigen Jubiläum der Runde wurde im Winter 2005/2006 erstmals das “Weiße-Ring-Rennen” veranstaltet. Pisten rund um den Rüfikopf, das Omeshorn und das Kriegerhorn stehen dabei auf dem Programm!
The White Ring – a unique ski circuit in the Alps – connects Lech with Zürs, Zug and Oberlech. At the 50 th anniversary for the circuit the “White Ring Race” was held for the first time in winter 2005/2006. Slopes around the Rüfikopf, the Omeshorn and the Kriegerhorn are included in the programme!
Bereits zum 10. Mal findet das legendäre Rennen am 17. Jänner 2015 statt. Auch in diesem Jahr stellen sich wieder über 1.000 Läufer der Herausforderung, die 22 km lange Strecke und 5.500 Höhenmeter zu überwinden. Es handelt sich somit um das längste Skirennen der Welt! Schon gewusst? Die Gewinner und somit besten Rennläufer werden auf der “Siegertafel” verewigt! Den Streckenrekord hält Patrick Ortlieb mit 44:35:07 min.
For the 10 th time now the legendary race takes place on the 17th January 2015. Over 1000 runners take on the challenge again this year over the 22 km long route and with 5.500 metres in height to overcome. This means it’s the longest ski race in the world! Did you know? The winner and the best runners will have their names eternalised on the “winner’s plaque“! The current record is held by Patrick Ortlieb with 44:35:07 min.

A genuine winter Classic or skating? The choice is yours! A 27 km long network of well-prepared trails from Lech-Zürs starts right in front of the Hotel door. The trails are free of charge and run through a breathtaking backdrop of mountain scenery through the most beautiful flat regions in the Arlberg. The Arlberg is not only a gorgeous walking paradise in the summer. Whether you prefer a pleasant walk along the paths, an extended snow shoe or winter walk, you’ll come across hidden trails, historical chapels and stunningly beautiful viewing points on your discovery tour. Look out for this bonus! Experience the mountain world from above – the Arlberg region offers the “Sunshine Subscription Arlberg“ Lift Ticket. With this ticket you can go up and down the mountains at bargain prices and enjoy the magical high altitude winter walking paths! Or what about a little bit faster? On the 1,2 long illuminated toboggan run from Oberlech to Lech it’s a great adventure on the downhill run on a zipfelbob. This spectacular run is great fun with family and friends!
Our tip: After an active day outdoors in the fresh air come back to us and unwind in our sauna area or enjoy a massage for some complete relaxation! Swim some lengths in the heated indoor pool and you will soon feel the muscles relaxing again!

Direkt vor der Haustüre befindet sich der Einstieg zum 27 km langen, bestens präparierten Loipennetz von Lech-Zürs. Die Loipen können kostenlos benutzt werden und führen vor dem Hintergrund einer atemberaubenden Bergkulisse durch die schönsten Flach-Gebiete des Arlberges. Der Arlberg gilt nicht nur im Sommer als traumhaftes Wanderparadies. Egal, ob Sie den gemütlichen Spaziergang, eine ausgedehnte Schneeschuh- oder Winterwanderung bevorzugen, auf Ihrer Erkundungstour werden Sie auf versteckte Pfade, historische Kapellen und besondere Aussichtspunkte stoßen. Aufgepasst! Erleben Sie die Bergwelt von oben – die Arlbergregion bietet das Liftticket „Sonnenabo“. Sie können damit die Berg- und Talfahrten zu einem günstigen Preis in Anspruch nehmen und die zauberhaften Höhenwinterwanderwege genießen! Es darf ruhig ein wenig rasanter zugehen? Auf der 1,2 km langen, beleuchteten Rodelbahn von Oberlech nach Lech kommt bei der Abfahrt mit dem Zipfelbob so richtig Freude auf. Auf der spektakulären Strecke können sich Familien und Freunde lustige Rodelrennen liefern!
Unser Tipp: Nach einem aktiven Tag an der frischen Luft sorgt ein Saunabesuch oder eine Massage für vollkommene Entspannung! Ziehen Sie Ihre Bahnen im beheizten Hallenbad und Sie werden spüren, wie sich Ihre Muskeln langsam lockern!

The Music Festival at the Tanzcafé Arlberg will take you back to the “good old days”. Wind off a day’s skiing in style with Jazz, Soul, Rock’n Roll and Swing Bands playing live and creating a great atmosphere at the Rüfikopfplatz, on the mountain, on the sunny terraces, or in the lovely ambiance of the Hotel.
