TERM 1 TTS Foundation Music in the Mornings Student soloists, bands and a selection of Infant, Junior and Senior ensembles will provide daily morning entertainment for students and parents as they arrive at school. Date: Monday, 28 September – Friday, 30 October Time: 7.30–7.50am daily Location: Junior walkway and Nixon bus bay Lunchtime Recital: Years 3 & 6 This is an opportunity for our budding Year 3 and Year 6 musicians to perform solos and duets to parents and friends Date: Friday 2 October Location: Due to current restrictions, a video recording of the Recital will be shared with the Tanglin community via In Touch and with Junior School students in their Junior classrooms.

Music Around The World: Senior Ensembles Concert The Senior Ensembles take you on an epic journey with music from around the world performed by all our ensembles and featuring a massed Year 7 Choir. Date: Thursday, 8 October Time: 7.00pm-8.30pm Location: BBPH
Music Recital Series This is an opportunity for our budding musicians from Juniors and Seniors to perform solos and chamber pieces to parents and friends in a relaxed setting. Date: Wednesday, 28 October Time: 7.00pm – 8.30pm Location: Moot
‘IN’ 2020 – Singapore International Schools Art Exhibition A selection of Tanglin students will contribute to this collaborative exhibition celebrating the talents of young artists from international schools in Singapore. This year, due to COVID-19 social distancing regulations, instead of a gallery-based exhibition we aim to produce an extensive on-line exhibition. Date: November 2020 (Dates TBC)
Remembrance Service – Kranji War Cemetery Junior and Senior Choir members will join students from other International Schools to perform at this most poignant ceremony in the beautiful and moving setting of Kranji War Memorial. The ceremony is led by the British High Commission and supported by members of the Singapore Armed Forces and religious leaders. Date: Sunday, 8 November Time: 7.15-8.30am Location: Kranji War Cemetery
St. George’s Festival of Music
Year 4 Music Curriculum Assemblies
Our annual whole-school Festival of Music in the beautiful setting of St. George’s Church. For many of the Tanglin Community, this traditional event signals the start of the Christmas season. Infant, Junior and Senior Ensembles perform festive pieces and the congregation join in with carol-singing before being treated to mince pies and mulled wine in the courtyard.
All 192 Year 4 children will showcase their musical achievements in class assemblies for parents.

Nursery Christmas Sing-Along A chance for parents to sit with and enjoy the Christmas songs the children have been learning whilst they are dressed in Christmas colours. A real family favourite with children and parents singing together. The Sing-Along is dependent on COVID-19-related restrictions and as such, is subject to amendment or cancellation. Date: Wednesday, 2 December - Friday, 4 December (TBC) Location: Hall 2
Mayflower This devised piece, inspired by story of the English ship that took the first pilgrims to America in 1620, will involve Key Stage 3 students. Date, time and location TBC
