Mission Statement Tanglin Trust School Singapore has a long tradition of providing British-based learning with an international perspective. At Tanglin we strive to make every individual feel valued, happy and successful. Responsibility, enthusiasm and participation are actively encouraged and integrity is prized.
Working together in a safe, caring, yet stimulating environment, we set high expectations whilst offering strong support, resulting in a community of lifelong learners who can contribute with confidence to our world.

Wellbeing: having the mental and physical health needed to flourish and to meet life’s challenges.
Beyond the Classroom
Commitments Wellbeing To encourage open conversations about mental health across the Tanglin community, promoting a culture of acceptance and support. To nurture student wellbeing, both through explicit, taught curriculum elements and implicitly through everyday interactions between students and staff.
To provide appropriate training opportunities for staff and parents, to support their own wellbeing and to enable them to support the wellbeing of others. To provide a variety of resources and opportunities to enhance staff wellbeing, guided by the staff wellbeing committees. To ensure that resources and procedures are in place to enable early intervention in the case of student or staff wellbeing concerns.
Commitments Student Care, Guidance & Support To actively promote a culture of respect, responsibility and purpose, acknowledging the full diversity of our student community. To provide relevant, quality pastoral care within a safe and secure environment. To provide quality and well-coordinated support services for students. To promote successful transitions throughout the school and beyond.
Commitments Staff Care, Guidance & Support To actively promote a culture of respect, responsibility and purpose, acknowledging the full diversity of our staff community. To further strengthen and broaden staff recruitment and retention procedures to attract and retain the best possible staff.
To provide relevant and quality training for all staff to support professional development. To ensure a positive and vibrant work culture which encourages staff wellbeing, engagement and collaboration.
Commitments Learning & Teaching To maintain and develop excellent standards of achievement through a relevant, balanced and challenging curriculum. To nurture a lifelong love of learning and develop the skills needed for effective collaboration and independence.
To promote a strong partnership between home and school, acknowledging the full diversity of our community.
Commitments Beyond the Classroom To evaluate and enhance opportunities for learning ‘beyond the classroom’ to develop and celebrate learner profile attributes and leadership skills.
To provide exceptional opportunities (engagement, participation, inspiration and development) through the TTS Foundation. To develop a culture of service across the community. To promote the ‘Our World 2041’ sustainability vision.
Commitments Resources & Environment To reduce consumption across the campus, to increase the proportion and range of waste that is properly recycled and to explore options for renewable energy sources. To adopt best practice in campus development in all areas, including health & safety, security, accessibility and sustainability.
To provide value for money and develop new inward investment opportunities. To use the opportunity of the new building at Gate C to further enhance the quality of our provision and to provide 'edge' items.
Commitments Community To actively promote a culture of respect, responsibility and purpose within our diverse community. To build on Tanglin’s heritage and reputation, forging meaningful relationships with the wider community of Singapore and beyond to sustain the school’s future.
