THE LION'S DEN Season 1 Sports 2023-24 Friday the 17th is the final day of Season 1, and it’s been an action-packed season with 35 Tanglin Lions teams playing 201 fixtures in 9 sports across Years 5 to 13. There are many individual stories and highlights across the weeks and Tanglin students have performed with great credit, demonstrating the school values of respect, responsibility, and purpose. A second successive SEASAC Football title for our 19&U Girls team is undoubtedly a highlight, while our rugby players also excelled at the SCC 7s. There is a Division 3 Football title for our 16&U Boys B team, while both our 19&U A and 16&U A football teams play their final match knowing a win will secure their own Division 1 titles. Tanglin Touch teams reached the knockout stages of the Queensland All School Touch competition for the first time. Our 19&U netballers have played their first games in the new Super League, and two teams set out today to the FOBISIA competition in KL. Congratulations to our volleyball teams who recorded PB finishes at SEASAC. Congratulations to all players, parents, coaches, and staff for a great season. Good luck to those students about to compete in the coming weeks, with major events including HS ACSIS swimming on Saturday, SEASAC Golf and Cross Country, as well as ACSIS Season 2, of course!
