THE LION'S DEN Dubai College 7s The Dubai 2023 rugby 7’s tour was a fantastic success and a great way of exposing our players to different opportunities in different environments and against different opposition. Tanglin played an extremely competitive and physical game against Dubai Exiles at the HSBC sevens stadium on the Thursday evening which was the ideal warm up for the Dubai College 7’s on the Saturday. The TTS U16’s topped their group with wins over Repton college and Nord Anglia before winning their Quarter final convincingly. Dubai College awaited in the Semi Final and despite some really skillful and spirited play, the boys were not able to break a high quality team. Dubai College ran out the eventual winners over JESS in the final. On return from Dubai the 16&U squad played the first XV’s match in over 9 years. In a weather affected game against St Andrews, TTS ran out 7-0 winners. This is a significant milestone for the rugby programme and will mean that every format of the game has been played by the school this year. We look forward to more opportunities in the future.
