THE LION'S DEN December 23: Western Australia State Swimming The Merlions Performance Squad swim team, consisting of seven members, participated in the Western Australia State Championships during the December holidays. The team members, including Stella, Flora, Maddy, Tilly, Anand, Chloe, and Nathalie, competed in various individual events against top swimmers from Western Australia. Notable achievements include Nathalie winning two Gold medals in the 100-200m Freestyle events and Chloe surprising many with significant personal best times in Breaststroke events, securing 2 Silver and 1 Bronze medals. Anand, racing for the first time in Australia, achieved 5/5 personal best times. Flora also made impressive progress in her middle-distance freestyle events. These swimmers, along with 11 others, are set to participate in the upcoming SEASAC Championships in Hong Kong. Overall, the Merlions Performance Squad displayed commendable performances at the competition.
