Middle School House Sport
On the final day of Term 2, Year 8 completed the Middle School House Sport series with tournaments in badminton, basketball and football. Although Winchester ran out Year 8 winners on the day, the performance of Cameron in all tournaments across year 7-9 meant they currently top the House Sport table. We look forward to further events in Term 3, with all students having further opportunities to compete for their House.

Australian Age Championships
During the Easter break, seven Tanglin Merlions competed at the prestigious Australian Age Championships. The girls competed alongside 2600 other athletes in high performance level environment which stretched and challenged our top swimmers. Our 4x50m Medley Relay team of Maddy, Amanda, Chloe and Nathalie finished a remarkable 11th overall. Other achievements included finals made in the following events:
Chloe (10CY) 50m Butterfly, 100m
Breaststroke
Eloise (8Cy) 50m Breaststroke
Nathalie (9Rb) 50m Butterfly
Amanda (11Pt) 100m Breaststroke
Yr13 Sports Showdown
As part of the Leavers Week, our Year 13 students and staff thoroughly enjoyed the chance to compete against each other in fun and friendly football and touch matches. Staff were great sports as they didn't go too hard on the youngsters, allowing them to score lots of tries and also giving them plenty of time and space in the football ;0). A lovely occasion which reflected the warmth and respect that students and staff have for each other.
