Dear reader,
The first stage of the product campaign now lies behind you and us. On our website and by personal talks you could gain a slight impression of what to expect from Nissen still this year.
Think globally, act locally...
True to our principles, we will follow our Nissen Benelux subsidiary to this year’s Intertraffic in Amsterdam. You will nevertheless also find us at further 18(!) national and international trade fairs where we will introduce our latest innovations. Be sure to visit us! Please refer to our website for up-to-date information.
According to an analysis of the German Federal Statistics Office, the KfW communal panel and the Bertelsmann Foundation, Trade tax collection (net) is projected to rise from 36.6 billion Euro now to 40.6 billion Euro in 2017. At first glance this does not sound too bad. The additional taxes will, however, not nearly cover the large communal investment gaps. The largest “loser”, i.e. leading the list of major sectors in need of investment, is the road and traffic infrastructure with an investment gaps of 34.3(!) billion Euro – nothing new here, but nevertheless a huge number. The condition of the roads, especially after winter, confirms this impression on a daily basis. We are tempted to think that, unless the means for reconstruction are provided shortly, we will soon be travelling on sand again.

New administration building handed over... Since 1972, the administration and production building on Friedrichstädter Chaussee has been accommodating the central Nissen Group activities but then time for extended capacities had arrived. The construction period was complete after 18 months of building. On the weekend of 14 November 2015, the new premises were ready for occupation and 30 staff members of staff moved from their offices in the old administration building to the new. The new 1 200 m2 representative Nissen Group central administration building accommodates the national and international sales departments, central procurement, finances, the marketing department, the project and controlling departments and corporate management.
demands of national and international markets,” continues Mr Tauffenbach. “We are now well positioned to face forthcoming years, with adequate space for continued growth...” The 4 million euro building was constructed using state-of-the-art working system methods and the networking between staff sections
was simultaneously also upgraded. On a celebratory occasion, Oliver Tauffenbach handed the symbolic “corporate key” to the originator of the idea and building principal, Managing Director Dipl. Ing. Dieter Wade, thanking him for his tireless planning and supervision of the project.
A long-time ambition of the shareholders came to fruition with the occupation of the new building and the simultaneous relocation of the R&D Department from factory II to the former administration complex. “For ages we had the dream of uniting the commercial and technical capacities of both works under one roof,” says Commercial Director Oliver Tauffenbach. Process optimisation and slimming down working processes became urgent in the face of the rising Main entrance of the new administration building

Introducing Ronny Günther An interview with Mr Ronny Günther, Sales Manager Trade / Services, New Federal States, Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg Hello Mr Günther, you have been with us for some months already. Please introduce yourself to our readers, maybe also tell them about your career before joining Nissen. Ronny Günther: My name is Ronny Günther, 42 years young and married, with 3 children. I am strengthening the Nissen Sales team in Germany since autumn 2015, as Sales Manager for Trade and Services in the NORTH-EAST region. Immediately after my studies in traffic engineering I gained my first practical experience in the field of construction site safety at various traffic security companies. I worked there as a site manager for more than 11 years. Afterwards I joined a manufacturer of traffic barrier systems which I left as sales manager after a period of 9 years.
Ronny Günther: To me, it is an exciting challenge to contribute to the ongoing expansion of Nissen’s market presence, with the ultimate goal of becoming the leading manufacturer and full systems supplier of traffic control and safety systems in all channels of marketing. Our ongoing investment in product development and production facilities will put us in a position where we will be the only manufacturer capable of offering the entire range of products at high quality, yet at fair prices. With us, the customer is king. Our trained sales team will be responsive to the needs of the customer, jointly developing his customised solution. Allow me to thank all my colleagues for their warm welcome into the Nissen family and I look forward to continuing excellent cooperation. I have found a highly motivated team here, with each member attending to his responsibilities with joy and enthusiasm. Together we have great plans and we will realise great achievements! Thank you for the pleasant and interesting conversation. The interview was conducted by Maike Dietz
