Dear Reader, DeuSAT is dead, long live DeuSAT! We absolutely can say that the project DeuSAT “New” has breathed new life into the industry. The presentations by the exhibitors were as professional and comprehensive as ever and the general mood from the authorities, retail and industry was promising. Dobrindt’s infrastructure packages have also ensured a good atmosphere in the sector for a long time now. Now we need to take this wave of sentiment to a new level. A doubling of participant numbers and good meetings alongside the symposium bring hope that the success story DeuSAT “New” will follow-up in the same place in 2019. It is often unfair to thank individual persons as the realisation of a project rests on many shoulders but I would like to expressly thank Monika Huber from Kirschbaum Verlag for her untiring commitment. She unceasingly took and realised our ideas together with the responsible parties at IVST. Many thanks for this.
DeuSAT 2017 Total success for THE leading German trade fair for traffic safety! The 8th German DeuSAT took place on March 8th and 9th, 2017 at the Koelnmesse congress centre together with the specialist trade fair for traffic engineering, initiated by Nissen and held for the first time this year. The entire exhibition team would like to thank all the visitors and customers for their great interest and the many informed meetings and suggestions. We are already looking forward to seeing you again at DeuSAT 2019 - THE leading German trade fair for traffic engineering! www.deusat.de
We wish you all a successful start to the season and remain with best regards,

The mobile variable message sign VarioSign Color Freely programmable – for every occasion!
RGB
New to the Nissen range: the variable message system VarioSign ColorRGB is freely programmable and can be used in a wide range of applications. The LED displays have bright colours and a high level of contrast. The patented and unique lens optics produces excellent brightness as well as an optimum alignment and use of the LED light. Automatic brightness regulation ensures optimum adjustment to the light conditions. LED displays are particularly energy efficient, robust and extremely long-lasting. The RGB-technology makes it possible to display up to 256 colours. This means that graphic presentations on the LED displays no longer have any limits – from all traffic signs through to colourful pictures, almost everything is possible!

ATTENTION:
Secure accident sites correctly!
Mobile LED warning trailer by Nissen for a pilot project of the fire brigade in Schleiz in Thuringia
The fire brigade in Schleiz (Thuringia) began a oneyear pilot project in March 2016 and purchased a mobile LED warning trailer from Nissen with the help of 70% state financing. It rapidly became clear that the pilot project was a total success from the beginning as most car drivers substantially reduced their speed because of the display on the mobile LED warning trailer, placed long before the accident site, thus protecting their safety and the safety of the rescue services at the accident site.
(Quote from “Feuerwehr”, issue 6/2016) Perhaps the project in Thuringia could be an inspiration for other federal states to also promote this kind of purchase – to protect Germany’s motorway fire brigades. Schleiz has shown us how successful it can be!
“The most dangerous point of a deployment on the motorway is securing the crews while installing and removing the barrier and security technology, which is often only available to a small extent”

typification campaign at Nissen!
Jörg Schulz was a bone marrow donor!
We started a big typification campaign in 2014 because one of the employees at our company was affected. Many colleagues wanted to help and registered as stem cell donors at DKMS (the bone marrow donation register). There was enormous willingness among the staff to save lives! As a result of this event one of our employees was a bone marrow donor. Our service technician Jörg Schulz was contacted by DKMS and donated bone marrow in the summer of 2016 – we are proud of our staff!

Sales Area South: Egon Lechner An interview with Mr. Egon Lechner, Commerce and Services at Nissen-Sales Area South Hello Mr. Lechner. You have been with us for some time now – please introduce yourself to our readers and tell us what you did before you came to Nissen. Mr. Lechner: My name is Egon Lechner and I was born in 1955 in Nuremberg. I am married and I have 3 children. I started work at Nissen in October 2015. Before that I worked for a manufacturer for barrier technology as sales / representative for 33 years. The areas I looked after were primarily Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg. These areas were successfully established and developed. And what are your responsibilities now at Nissen and what are your objectives for the future? Mr. Lechner: My area of responsibility at Nissen is the development of the existing client base of construction equipment retailers and traffic safety professionals in Bavaria. And also gaining new customers for us in this sector. In order to carry out this work I am available to my clients every day in external sales if they need advice or products. One main objective is to increase the level of recognition of Nissen and to establish new products in the sector of barrier technology. I would like to see Nissen as no. 1 in this sector in Bavaria. I would like to be an honest and competent field worker for my clients and be around for them for a long time to come. Thank you for this pleasant and interesting conversation. Maike Dietz carried out the interview
Sales Area South-West: Alexander Seelig An interview with Mr. Alexander Seelig, Area Manager for Nissen-Sales Area South-West Hello Mr. Seelig. You have been with us since the beginning of the year - please introduce yourself to our readers and tell us what you did before you came to Nissen. Mr. Seelig: Hello! My first name is Alexander. And people say my family name ‘Seelig’ has a nice sound, which I’m happy about. I am 43 years old. When I am playing with my son or riding on my racing bike I am easily reminded how fast the almost 24 years I have spend in the construction sector have gone by. Time seems to be on a racing bike. I met people in the building materials business, construction machinery and construction equipment retail sector as well as at a manufacturer of barrier technology who have shaped me professionally. For me standing behind someone means taking responsibility, meeting obligations and being clear and open. That is how I work. And what are your responsibilities now at Nissen and what are your objectives for the future? Mr. Seelig: The first Nissen warning lamp came onto the market in 1954, in the years when the economic miracle was really taking off. Part of my work is to act like a warning lamp. When my business partners are making decisions I point out hidden obstacles, make complicated issues simpler and light the best way for my clients. My aim for the future is to continue the tradition and the success story of Nissen. Wherever the name Nissen is mentioned in Germany it is associated with reliability and high levels of efficiency. I will offer my customers the best advice so that it stays that way. Thank you for this pleasant and interesting conversation. Maike Dietz carried out the interview
