Charging Cart Prototype Staying Connected In A Hybrid Office Many of our clients have embraced the hybrid office model. Employees will work from the office when appropriate, but otherwise will stay at home to focus on heads down work. But what happens when you are sitting at the office in a flex zone any there is no electrical around to charge your laptop? Where do you put your personal items when you need to run to lunch? These carts are meant to live in each neighborhood throughout the office and can accommodate many users at once.

Charging Cart Prototype Since we are not sure how users might interact with these we went ahead and prototyed two options for our client: one with closed, locking storage and one with open cubbies. Each module can charge cellphones on top of the unit and laptops/ipads in the center of the unit. There is a numerical system waterjet cut into the felt with a pop of color indicating which space your items are located in, much like cars are left in a parking garage. Computer can all tend to blend together! The unit is mobile so that it can be moved easily between neighborhoods.
