Letter From Joe We heard that you are looking to change your workplace, so we wanted to take this opportunity to share our story with you and see if we can help you along the way. As a fellow business leader, I’ve come to understand P+L’s well. Through the years in my position, I have narrowed it down to three factors as having the greatest effect on profitability: people, place and technology. My goal as the CEO and President of Tangram is to make sure that we help your organization establish both efficiency and optimization for these three categories. With Steelcase as our partner, Tangram has built its mission on the belief that if we can create a great employee experience, we can create a great workplace. We accomplish this by focusing on three measurements: how people experience the space (move, think, feel), how people utilize technology in the space (mobility, collaboration, data) and how
people interact with the space. The key is to provide each employee with a certain level of choice and control over their environment in order to create a holistic workplace experience. Over the years, we have grown our organizational capabilities to better support you and your business. In addition to our contract furniture team, we have teams focused on local custom co-designed furniture, flooring, hard surfaces, A/V technology + integrations, and more. Each one built with a single question as its driving force: How can we make a better employee experience and buying experience, while also creating a higher level of efficiency and optimization for the organization? As the desire for loose personality-driven pieces is dramatically increasing, Tangram has responded with two fulltime Ancillary Specialists. These personal shoppers have years of experience in the industry, cultivating relationships with 700+ manufactures and keeping up with furniture trends in order to meet your needs in three crucial ways: aesthetic, budget and lead-time.

Studio The concept for a custom workspace begins with listening to each client’s needs, aesthetics, brand and culture. Then collaborative brainstorming informs development of a unique, affordable, well designed and appropriate solution. Computer-generated renderings, material samples and handheld mockups bring the ideas to life along with timeline and cost. Final engineering drawings and manufacturing software drive production. And a comprehensive installation plan covers project management, site inspections, truck loading, delivery, labor scheduling and assembly drawings.

Tangram Flooring’s expertise in the specification, installation and ongoing care of flooring and fabrication solutions is available to meet your interior’s functional and acoustical needs without compromising on style and aesthetic. Choose from a wide variety of carpet, hard surface, sheet, tile, wood and rubber to pull a space together with a coordinated portfolio of multiple surfaces. Materials are specifically selected for long life-cycles, low maintenance, ease of cleaning and resistance to staining, fading and bleach in order to achieve lower cost and a lighter impact on environment.

This team understands how technology can foster communication, support mobility, enhance collaboration and drive better business results. Architectural Wall Solutions Tangram’s Architectural Solutions provides expertise in creating innovative solutions that allow for changing work conditions. Whether it’s a need for expanding meeting rooms or office space, or consolidating or redefining existing space, we can design and install easy-to-modify architectural solutions to meet these needs. As an additional benefit, modular architectural solutions can be treated financially as a furniture asset. 32

Onsite Whether it’s wood, laminate or metal, the refinishing experts can make old furniture look brand-new or even give it a completely different feel. In addition, a very talented team can bring a rundown piece of furniture into the 21st century, from stripping and re-stuffing to refurbishing and re-upholstery. Additional resources include cleaning services for furniture, wall coverings, flooring and seating to help eliminate years of wear-and-tear and restore an environment to its original integrity. 33

You need to know what you have, where it is, and its condition, so you maximize re-use of your assets.
