"On the 'bab” means "served with rice", although that's by no means the defining characteristic of dishes on offer. The menu is full of anju staples and starters such as soy garlic or sweet spicy Yangnyeom Chicken and Soondoobu Jibai (seafood stew and poached egg combination) The main course is split into three traditional Anju choices. Soju, Somaek and Soju all feature on the cocktail list.
Broadway Market on Saturdays is a kaleidoscope of tastes and cultures: stalls, shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes offering some of the best food and most original clothing in London all crammed into a little East End street between the Regent’s Canal and London Fields.
Okonomiyaki – fun to say, and fun to cook. The word for this Japanese, cabbage - based pancake loosely translates as "what you like, grilled". As its name suggests, okonomiyaki is a flexible dish. There is a batter base, an obligatory cabbage filling and quite strict garnishes – but otherwise, the rest of the ingredients come down to what's at hand.
I arrived in FK in February 2012 to study in an E level class - very difficult at first! Later I got a 7 in IELTS and passed the CAE. At the same time I started working as a Student Assistant on the Summer Family Programme and when this was finished, applied for, and got, a permanent position!
