Come to this lovely restaurant to have meze- a mix of many different hot & cold dishes for £12.50. Try baklaa broad bean salad, borek, a cheese stuffed pastry and meat stews and kofte, a minced lamb kabab.
From terrible crimes to gruesome legends, London has long been the backdrop to horrifying tales which quickly take root in popular imagination. From dreadful crimes to brutal punishments and witch trials, this small exhibition also includes architecture and The Bat Cave, London’s first ‘Goth’ club in the 1980s.
Taking its name from a musical revue that tracked the history of the genre, this blue-painted (natch) venue benefits from a specialist music policy, which in actual fact gives it a wide remit stretching from bar room honky-tonk through the west coast/Chicago sound to roots reggae, even.
A Sunday morning tradition for many East Enders, Brick Lane market is a vast hotchpotch of stalls selling leather clothing,second-hand furniture and bric-a-brac. Here, second-hand stores and leather shops line the actual market itself, and hot dog stands compete for trade with the many cheap and cheerful Indian and Bangladeshi restaurants, trendy bars, and a famous 24-hour bagel shop.
Broadcasting House is now the BBC’s largest creative hub in the UK, generating more live output than any other BBC site to provide better and more integrated content and services for its audiences. It provides public service broad- casting to over 10million people across the UK at any one time and to a worldwide audience of more than 150 million every week.
