Jeanie Johnston Tall Ship

Step aboard this replica emigrant ship to see what life was like for those leaving Ireland for the USA 150 years ago. Guided tour lasting 50 mins (last tour 4pm). Meet the FK leader in reception at 4:00pm.

River Cruise

See a different side of Dublin from the River Liffey and find out about Dublin’s buildings, bridges, history and folklore. The cruise lasts 45 minutes. Meet the FK leader in reception at 4:00pm

Enjoy your day off! Perhaps take a stroll through Phoenix Park if the weather is nice or head to the Irish Film institute for a film if it starts to rain!

Come and relive history in this famous site, which has been at the heart of Dublin’s history since it was built in 1204. See the old towers and city walls deep underground and learn what it was like to live in Medieval Dublin. Meet the FK leader in reception at 4:00pm. €4.50

Book of Kells & Trinity College

Located in the heart of the city, this is a ‘must see’ for any visitor to Dublin. See the famous manuscript and step back in time amidst beautiful gothic architecture. Meet the FK leader in reception at 4pm.

The Nationa Wax Museum

See outstandingly original visitor attractions, designed with a focus on fun and interaction. And since it is Halloween week: enter the Chamber of Horrors if you dare! Meet the FK leader in reception at 4:00pm. €9

Come and taste the far east in the stylish surroundings of Yamamori Noodles…. with noodles, sushi, ramen and more! Meet the FK leader outside the school at 6:30pm.

Little museum of Dublin

Literally the smallest museum in Dublin, based in a beautiful Georgian House. You can hear the story of Dublin during a private tour. Upstairs there is a U2 room with all the facts and memorabilia of the world famous Dublin band. Meet the FK leader in reception at 4:00pm. Free event

O’Neills Irish Pub

If you fancy eating some traditional Irish food in the cosy atmosphere of an Irish pub then join us in O’Neills! Meet the FK leader outside the school at 6.30pm Bring drinks money – over 18’s only.

OKTOBERFEST

Until 5th October

The original Oktoberfest will come from Germany to Dublin, giving Irish people the chance to experience the authentic Oktoberfest festival. A marquee representative of that in the Oktoberfest in Munich - and German markets, as well as 24 authentic Oktoberfest barmaids will descend on Georges Dock for some German fun, food and entertainment and authentic Bavarian beer. OPEN HOUSE DUBLIN

17th-19th October

The Irish Architecture Foundation is proud to present Open House Dublin, the biggest celebration of architecture in Ireland. Open House Dublin 2014 will take place from 17 to 19 October 2014. Over one weekend, buildings of all types and periods will open up their doors to allow citizens and visitors to explore the architecture of their city, with special tours by hundreds of professionals and enthusiasts, completely for free. BRAM STOKER FESTIVAL

24th-27th October

The festival takes the legacy of Dublin horror novelist Bram Stoker and his gothic novel 'Dracula' as inspiration. Incorporating a range of events from large-scale spectacles including a gothic ball, to intimate performances in unusual spaces, along with a whole range of film and literary events, the festival always manages to whet just about everyone's appetite.
