2 You are going to look at a webpage about London Zoo and decide what animals you would like to see. To see the page, type in: http://www.zsl.org/london-zoo. To find information about animals in the zoo, click on Meet the animals in the second line at the top of the page. When the page appears you will be able to see the different types of animals in the table below. 3 Look at the information about the different types of animals. Decide on one animal of each type that you would be interested in seeing. Complete the table below with information about these animals. Type of animal:

Aim: For students to use the Internet to do research about animals in London Zoo. This worksheet leads on from the topic of the module, which has focussed on the animal world. Time: 45 minutes Materials: Photocopies of the worksheet for each student. 1. Students decide which of the animals they would normally find in a zoo. 2. Tell students that they are going to look at a website about London Zoo. Check that students have opened the main page correctly and that they have opened the Meet the animals section. 3. Students look at the different types of animals and choose one of each type (mammals, birds etc.) they would be interested in seeing. Students complete the table with the information about the animals they have chosen. In the section Animal facts, tell students to find one piece of interesting information about each animal. 4. Students tell their partners about the animals they are interested in seeing and explain why they would like to see these animals.
