Barbara Young was nominated by colleague Linda Gilbert who shared in her letter that Dr. Young “prepares her students for the future – for a future and for challenges that cannot even be imagined today, but that certainly will be filled with technology. Barbara works with teachers, and with future teachers. And if teachers are to be effective in delivering effective instructional strategies to their students, then they must have those strategies modeled for them. That is what Barbara does….. Dr. Barbara N. Young has certainly earned the 2010 Award for Innovative Excellence in Teaching, Learning, and Technology. She goes beyond merely meeting the criteria for the award. She exceeds it.”
