Introduction: Amongst the chaos of the world we find ourselves wandering into the forest of the unknown where there exists darkness, enchantment, and danger. The modern world has began to resemble the fantastical sublime of a wonderland found in the deep recesses of the collective unconscious. In this way we find ourselves more accustomed to what was once strange, and less familiar with the mundane of the past. In Autumn/Winter 2019-2020 we are focussed on escapism, enhancing our realities, and exploring unknown territories.Â
Fantastical Edge broadens our perspectives and exposes us to the unfamiliar, the stigmatized, the feared; where dreams are both beautiful and nightmares. Organic Macabre is a vining forest of the sublime that represents our refocus on nature in times of darkness. Romantic Juxtaposition combines the beautiful fragility of life, vulnerability, and compassion with grunge and mystery.
FANTASTICAL EDGE Fantastical Edge explores a dark wonderland of hyperrealtiy used to escape the troubles of society. As the prevalence of virtual reality, music festivals, and other forms of escapism increase society finds itself trying to escape the struggles of our world. We' ll be seeing colors reminiscent of hallucinogens with brights such as clover pink, orange, and a statement making turquoise contrasted with deep navy and electric lavender.
Fantastical Edge The Fantastical Edge palette has a electrifying feel that evokes emotions of wonder and curiosity. The darker hues of Gilbraltar Sea Blue and Peacoat Navy reflect the somber and crisp feel of fall in contrast with the cool and pure Lilac Snow. The brights of Clover Purple, Summer Fig Orange, and Turquoise represent the aesthetically invigorating decay that occurs in the once a year performance of autumn.

Organic Macabre
Organic Macabre takes us to our natural origins, where we tend to return to during times of difficulty. In nature, we reflect and seek wisdom found within ourselves. For this reason, we will begin to see nature incorporated into all aspects of everyday life. Both the representation and the preservation of nature will be made more of a priority than ever before. We will see hues found in nature such as luxurious browns, jewel greens contrasted with canary yellow and inky navy.
Organic Macabre The Organic Macabre palette evokes the feeling of an abandoned mansion amidst an overgrown garden. Hues of Greenlake and Atrium represent the overgrowth and vines; Brunette and Chocolate Torte as the earth. Night Sky Navy displays the chill of winter in the air contrasted with Lemon as the bright, unfiltered sun on clear warmth-less days.

Romantic Juxtaposition Romantic Juxtaposition reminds of the bizarre ways that beauty and darkness come together to simultaneously enhance one another and create a pastiche that is entirely new. We will begin to see the delicate, vulnerable, and lovely combined with the dark, gloomy, and curious. Hues including pale pink, cream nude, and delicate mauve represent the purity of fresh snow and chilly pink sunsets. Dusty lavender, shaded plum, and black display the frozen nights and dreary overcast days.
Romantic Juxtaposition  Romantic Juxtaposition evokes a feeling of mystery and passion, transporting us to a realm of enchantment where light and dark meet. Cameo Rose Nude and Pearl Blush display the pure, light, and innocent, such as moonlight on snow. Renaissance Rose and Mauve Shadows represent emotion and the yearning for warmth and familiarity. Black Plum and Dark Navy explore the unknown depths of long nights and embracing darkness.
