Between the 9th and 15th centuries, Angkor’s dynamic blend of craftsmen, ruling class luminaries, and specialized priests contributed to the creation of enormous monuments and structures. Awe-inspiring temples, notably the towering Angkor Wat, once dominated vast cities constructed from wood, and colossal monuments to the gods stood as a testament to human ingenuity.
