Nowadays, environmental issues have been paid attention to, and low carbon has become a symbol of modern architecture. So, the coexistence of architecture and environment, as well as the sustainable development of the construction have gained more and more concern.
N
This construction base is located in Hangzhou Xixi Wetland where scenery is beautiful and climate is pleasant. Xixi Wetland is a well-known ecological protection district with rich vegetation. The function of entire wetland is quite coincidence with the design theme, which is the “Low Carbon concept. Meantime, the exhibition hall combined with the surrounding eco-houses, make up a lowcarbon landscape.

People are not impressed by pavilion and exhibits
As the visitor of the pavilion and the users of the building, people`s interpersonal behavior is quite important. By changing the space sensation, the visit can be initiative and explorative. Large spaces connect with each other through the small space, which simulates visitors`interest in active search. Through the rational combination of the large space, the most reasonable tour streamline can be made, thus reduce the visiting duplication. It also leads people act subjectively to achieve a low-carbon energy. By turning the exterior wall, the passive mode of traditional visit to the exhibition shall be changed. FORM
Hexagon has the exceptional aesthetic value and geometric properties in the field of geometric. Its perfection is fully reflected both in crystal structure and natural world, Regardless of their aesthetic value, the hexagon also has the unique structure. Its walls support each other, thus achieving a structural stability, so it can isolate seism, and shear force of architecture. Due to unique dimensional characteristics (side length equals to radius ), hexagon can have lots of combinations, forming space-saving and focusing system simultaneously. Now given three-dimensional concept, and some reverse, the hexagon can be dynamic, fourdimensional, and reflects the spiral philosophy as well.
5
East Elevation
This kind of reverse seems to destroyed the original perfect geometry of hexagon. In fact , the perfect graphic still appears from the top view. This combination of spiral and wind brings a broader stereoscopic space. Under the effect of wind power, the exhibition hall may be rotated, which indicates the low-carbon time track, and give the visitors quite a new experience.

ENERGY In the design process of the pavilion, we have focused on wind power, and make it be an important part of this program. Wind power, as for the pavilion, is not only a clean energy as daily illumination, but also lets some portions of the exhibition rotate. With this rotation, the pavilion can be more dynamic and four-dimensional.Besides bringing entirely new feeling of light perception and wind power to visitors, the most important effect of this design is that it creates a new exhibition mode, which is totally not alike traditional one. In the new mode, people can just stand and enjoy while exhibits rotating.

The hall uses six plastic impellers to rotate, that can provide the required wind power. The traditional vertical-axis wind turbine is easy to install with no adjustment of the windward side, but the vane cannot absorb the maximum wind. Under preliminary transformation, we make the vane curved as parabolic shape so it can best accept the wind power to get more energy. Under further transformation, we place a vertical impeller in the top of the turbine so it can receive the vertical wind to solve the problem that the turbine is not turning around without the horizontal wind.

MENDS OF CITY The railway crossing the city has always been a negative element. While making the city more and more prosperous, it also brings dull pain to the environment. It can be said that the railway cross the city is the flowing blood vessels, and also the historical cracks of the urban. Our program is designed to reduce the negative element brought by the railway. While ensuring its“urban vessel” effect, we shrink the adverse impact of railway to the city, thus makes itself not appear as a dominant element in the urban fabric, but become a creative youth community. So the railway will become the “subway”, while still performing its duty. In our design, the railway is the flowing blood vessels of the city as before, but no longer the city's cracks. Youth community connects both sides of the city space, and bonds the cracks of the urban fabric. LOW HOUSE PRICE Higher land price, higher house price. The space above the railway has lower price, because the space itself is "abandoned". Exploring the potential space above the railway can save land costs and largely reduce the house price , so young people who just enter the society can afford to buy houses for their own. Using the treated waste containers, the cost of which is only onethird of the reinforced concrete for the same area , can reduce the house price. And the containers are also recyclable and reusable. To confront with the higher and higher house price, cheap and comfort have extremely realistic significance to the young people.

STRUCTURE ANALYSIS
The most important problem needs to be solved is reducing quake and noise caused by the train going through the railway areas ,so the case uses methods as follows .Parking garage insensitive to noise is built in the layer closest to the rail, which can solve community parking issues, and isolate noise as well. And then, public leisure space is put in the second layer. The third layer is overbarden which is used for green planting and noise absorbing. To solve quake problem, we install seism isolation device near the railway base, thus can alleviates the shake-effects of passing trains.

Using steel load-bearing structure too, we can adding the floor of public leisure layer and the ceiling.
The steel framework of residence unit is hung on the steel skeleton of major load- bearing, where the stairwell and tube are also put in it.

RESIDENTIAL UNIT ANALYSIS
1.FREE&PERSONALIZED Four containers holding by six frameworks generate flexible and free space combination which make up various unit type. Thus the residents can decorate freely as they wish, and they even can change the unit type for certain function. 2.GRAY SPACES Because the framework spares two positions, so there can be diversified gray spaces where residents can rest, entertain, plant, which brings colorful life experience to them. 3.INNER SPACE

The wall of container can be easily disposed ,so the inner space could be transformed at will. By knocking through the upper and lower wall, the 40 unit can produce funny and "posh" space like "duplex", "skip-floor" and so on.

I have just graduated from school, and earn RMB1500 per month now. Affording a house with a price of RMB800,000.00 is a big problem for me. My parents don't have enough money and my own salary is far away from the target. I will get married very soon, what shall I do?
I'm living besides the railway, outside my window is the train moving fast with big noises. After t h e t r a i n p a s s e s b y, o n l y desolation is left. The other side of the railway is a strange world for me, cause I have to walk through two streets to get there, which is very inconvenient.
I've just heard that a youth community will be built above t h e r a i l w a y. A c o m m u n i t y which is built there, and the main structure is container, I guess the price can't be too expensive and I must pay attention to it.
I've heard that the youth community can sooner be finished with full prearrangement. If the price is cheap and the environment is not too noisy, I will consider to buy one.
It's heard that there will be a community built above the railway near my home. I am quite confused that how can people live there with such loud noises.
Now the youth community is under construction, and the steel structure can be seen from my w i n d o w. T h e r a i l w a y i s s t i l l working as usual, not affected by the construction.
The youth community is built, and railway now becomes subway. Surroundings has completely been changed, and life is getting more convenient.
I have moved into the community. Cheap, convenient, quiet, fullequipted, I love the life so much!

Architecture is a machine for slowing down time and it speaks to us about archaic time, cold and slow intensity, a time that knows how to wait. Calmly, it describes forms that elicit emotion--the silent sun is its metronome.
27
The line graph below shows a fact that the elderly and children should be paid more attention because of the fluctuation of natural growing rate , so the barrier-free design should be the initiative.
People in a better environment and slower pace of life will feel more comfortable.

Meanwhile, it also plays a significant role in transportation which leads to a free-barrier circumstance. Owing to the partly-moving space inside, people in the relatively-still situations have opportunities to enjoy the constantly-changing surroundings and the various spaces and lights drive people to make sense of time and to slow their emotions down.

DISASTER MITIGATION ANALYSIS When met catastrophe, architecture should not be a tragedy-maker but be a shutter for people. Based on the firmly-constructed single buildings, we tentatively carry out a solution that all singles could be allied to each other for purpose of minimizing the damages caused by flood because of the recent research which shows that to some degrees complex-building has a better resistance-ability than 〠single building. As a result, more victims can survive from the disaster than before. As for the quakes, we also put forward some tentative measures but the one we would particularly like to share is shock mitigation. When met earthquake, the shocks are too severe to defend so the columns break. The cushions under the singles make it possible for the buildings to get a soft-landing and the interior people can suffer a little.

DESCRIPTION A s w e k n o w, t h e a l t e r a t i o n o f f u n c t i o n s a n d f u r t h e r layout of constructions have become an issue of significance. Conventional resolution, namely Modular Architecture has over simplified the pattern and idea of constructions. Why not shift our focus on constructions towards grid or other construction elements? At the beginning, the main of the road planning is medical center. The middle of the whole area will be used as integral medical center which includes special clinical and medical office. The functions of the other areas which the road grid divides are general office and assisted living. After 30 – 50 years, The community will be more uniform, with the change of the grid, the sudoku will be homogenization. There will be 9 communities most of which are office and living place. Every community will have all of the functions, at the same time, because of the characteristic of the sudoku, every community will be different with each other.

The competition focuses on a triangular site of 48 acres (19.4 hectares) in Somerville, an "inner ring" suburb of Boston, with dense housing built around the turn of the 19th century. Somerville is a city whose topography has been altered repeatedly over time, as a way of accommodating new infrastructure systems and districts. Rivers, hills, wetlands etc. were re-configured through land filling and excavation, creating a new landscape, in many ways far removed from its bucolic past. Much of Somerville is occupied by a dense mat of multifamily housing and mixed-use buildings dating from the 19th to the early 20th century, with 'double-decker' and 'triple-decker' housing serving as the primary typologies for housing alongside traditional row buildings in mixed-use nodes (such as Davis, Union, and Porter Squares). In the last decades, these low-cost apartments all over the greater Boston area have been converted into owner-occupied condos as neighborhoods become gentrified and property values have increased. Greater property values have lead, in turn, to increased density in new construction and many new highly dense, mixed-use buildings have been built, especially in Cambridge.

GRID
Basic Grid
Generate Nodes
Invasive Node
Form New Gird
Is a grid a nailing down of space, a dumb map cut up into equal bits with the assumption that everything which goes through it is also uniform? This though invades structures, which adopt such insistence, in elements traveling through and being connected in equal parts and sizes. The node is viewed then as a junction point of concentric orders. This way the grid may become a sieve for invention to work out its own framing.
47
New Gird Expands
A straight line is a constant velocity. In speed lines it streaks from nowhere to somewhere and does not want to be stopped. But the line that crosses that motion slows it down and the question is asked, which way? When the nodes of the grid from the architecture stretch into a road, this linear relationship will become more apparent. Simultaneously, the exchange of the nodes and lines gives the grid a new system.

Balance
As a whole, distribution of the number achieves a balance, each number bounds to each other, influences each other
Integrity
Every palace, row and column have a complete set of numbers
Variability
A change of the number can lead to the grid change within the digital exchange.
Numbers are also material. They are units that coins, compile and aggregated to yield shapes and forms. Their value is their materiality. Since the value is abstract it can be anything. A number has the bizarre character of being a symbol or cipher, a code or a count. The act of creation comes out of nothing. It is an inherent impulse. Numbers escalate and cascade in a series of such movements, each one adding extension to the initial impulse.
