“A journey that starts off by seeking for his forgiveness and culminates with giving out forgiveness to others.”
The Hajj pilgrimage exemplifies one of the world's largest peaceful mass-gatherings fostering globalization in a multicultural environment and to assist in embarkation and disembarkation of pilgrims, several initiatives have been undertaken; one of which includes the provision of Hajj Houses. The main project challenge is to re-imagine the concept of Hajj House so that the developed infrastructure can be used throughout the year and not only during Hajj. The design challenge focuses on the interpretation of Indo- Saracenic architecture to a modern building and understanding the impact and expectations of the surrounding population and subjected community from the proposed project.
