{As summer draws to a close it seems that we return to a harsh world in which nothing is bearable. In light of this I have chosen to focus this issue on lore. Folklore consists of legends, music, proverbs, fairy tales, and traditions of a subculture. To me, lore serves as a passageway to an alternate universe in which prarie skirts are always in style and the ideal day involves getting lost in the woods. While autumn can bring seriousness and solidity, fall fashion can provide an escape from reality. Through personal style we can allude to folklore and forge a new attitude for the return of cold weather. For this issue we escaped to the woods to shoot our feature editorial. I worked with a dozen professionals to set a new precendent for the editorial future of TAP. I hope that this issue can provide inspiration and incentive for our readers to not only further explore the world of lore but to use autumn as an oppurtunity to contradict the professional stressors occurring by embracing the most mythical aspects of style.}

Portrait 2: Elegantly, she is dancing In front of her mirror; I can see Through My window and She always keeps the curtains back and Always twists into An angry Virgin Mary blue.

Her curtains are gathering Families of quiet dust-bunny audiences And she wrenches them away from the jarring Daylight, As though she wants me to see All the ways Her spine can curve. A Blanche of these modern times, She contorts: Tomorrow, they will brace her And send her to the dogs. Alexa Derman {page 40}
