The less you talk the more you make By Chuck Vosburgh
It’s normal. You’re a little nervous about getting the sale so you keep explaining and keep trying to give the prospect good reasons to buy, but in reality, you’re inadvertently giving your prospect excuses to not buy. Say what needs to be said and shut up! Easier said than done unless you use these three steps:
Step One: Ask and listen Start the meeting by asking a lot of questions and listen. The prospect will tell you what hey need and what you need to do if you listen, ask follow-up questions and then listen more. Resist the urge to talk. Keep asking questions until there is nothing left to ask about.
Step Two: Say what needs to be said
prospect trust that you are going to give them what they said they need.
Step Three: Shut Up Close and shut up. Say the price, look them in the eye and shut up. Ask when they want to start and shut up. Whatever your call to action is, say it and shut up! Stop talking yourself out of sales. Practice asking questions until there is nothing left to ask and you’ll see your sales increase dramatically! Have questions? Ask me. Thanks for reading. Chuck Vosburgh has more than 30 years of experience as a commercial photographer and author of How to Sell Photography Without Sounding Like a Salesman. NEW MEETING PLACE!
Anyone who has tried underwater photography knows that it’s far more challenging than it looks. If photography is an art and a science, then underwater photography is an art, a science and a science. Christopher has spent the past 6 years conquering the science of swimming pool-based underwater fine art portrait photography. His mastery of the science allows him to express his own unique artistic vision. This presentation is an opportunity to experience the special challenges of working in a liquid environment. Christopher’s goal is to help you begin to break through those challenges so that you can develop your own unique artistic vision. The presentation will begin with the hows and whys of photographing underwater. Christopher will share his knowledge on the technical aspects of underwater photography including: safety, equipment, weights and buoyancy management, backdrops, underwater housings, water clarity, lighting techniques, styling and wardrobe choices, and vetting and working with models.
Christopher Chandler is a Lithia, Florida based portrait, aerial and underwater photographer, specializing in people and fashion photography with a style consisting of colorful and energetic imagery. Running a client-friendly, service-oriented business he believes that great creativity often is the result of team effort and values working closely with his clients.
