President’s Message

As we wind down on Summer heat and look forward to our Fall clients, let’s all remember to have a good business plan. If we need to change rates or if we need to take a different sales approach then we need to strategize how and when to make the changes. Some things work better when implemented as part of a new year and other things are easily slid into the daily plan. We at TAPPA have one of those business changes coming up. We are asking the membership to vote on a By-Law change during the November meeting. We will also have elections at the same time. There has been much conversation back and forth about TAPPA Board members needing to be members of FPP, PPA, neither or both. We do feel that TAPPA is a guild of both the FPP and the PPA, however when it becomes hard to find members willing to serve on the board because of that additional financial burden, we need to reassess. Our best compromise seems to be requiring that the TAPPA Board members be either an FPP member or a PPA member. This will give the Board member some control over which organization they want to be part of and will also keep our board aligned with both the FPP and the PPA. Bios of members currently running for the open Board positions will all soon be published and available to read online.

He is a hard worker who has always been willing to step up and help with any job. Next year you will see him in another new job position. TAPPA is lucky to have CJ onboard. Benjamin Todd, CPP

Last month I mentioned and congratulated all of the TAPPA competition winners from FPP FOCUS Convention. I, intentionally, withheld the name of one award winner. Every year we are able to chose a member who deserves the FPP Outstanding Service Award for our guild. Since this member was not able to attend the awards program, it was my honor to get to present it to him during the last TAPPA meeting. Congratulations to CJ MOMENT!!
