Ingress Protection IP Definition As per international standard IEC 60529 the Ingress Protection IP is defined as the degree of protection which provided to electrical equipment or electrical appliances against solid objectives such as dust or against liquid such as water or against mechanical The Ingress Protection IP is very important issue during selection the electrical appliance and electrical equipment according to installation field (indoor Or Outdoor) For example we can find the electrical equipment or electrical appliances which installed outdoor should be different of ingress protection IP if we installed the same equipment indoor

‫وفق ا للمواصفة العالمية ف ان حماية الدخول تعرف بانها درجة‬ ‫حماية تقدم للمعدات الكهربائية او االجهزة الكهربائية ضد‬

The ingress Protection IP is known as International Protection Rating or also known as Ingress Protection Rating Ingress Protection (IP) ratings are developed by the European Committee for Electro technical Standardization (CENELEC) Degrees of Protection Provided by Enclosures - IP Code).

The IP rating normally has two (or three) numbers: IP XXX Protection from solid objects or materials Protection from liquids (water) Protection against mechanical impacts (commonly omitted, the third number is not a part of IEC 60529)
