Into the Eastern European market The biggest insulation potential is currently located in the Eastern European market. The significance of energy insulation is brought up by the EU 2020 Energy Initiative, which contributes towards the industry’s phenomenal growth in the area. Eastern European economies are currently more vibrant than their Western counterparts, thereby making the 4INSULATION Trade Fair in Krakow, Poland the ideal opportunity for a foray into this market.

Krakow – the city of possibilities ⓦ investment attractiveness – modern enterprises invest in Krakow, as confirmed by the annually

growing presence of international companies in the local market

ⓦ excellent transport infrastructure – A-4 motorway; CORRIDOR III, the main transit route between

Western and Eastern Europe; Krakow Airport, the second largest airport in Poland servicing over 3 million passengers every year, and the nearby Katowice Airport only 60km away from Krakow

The International Trade Fair of Industrial Insulation 4 4INSULATION is organised in consideration of the dynamic changes taking place in the industry and above all, the growing role of insulation in raising energy efficiency. Moreover, the rapid development of industries in need of the highest quality service requires the provision of selected materials and services. For the first time ever in Poland an extensive commercial offer of companies from what is broadly defined as the insulation industry will be presented at the International Exhibition and Convention Centre EXPO Krakow. This will be a unique opportunity to become familiar with new technologies and products, exchange information related to the installation of insulation at the highest level and acquire new clients.

HEAT not LOSTConference – energy efficiency, thermal insulation for the energy sector and industry, design and execution Energy efficiency becomes a burning issue considering the on-going climate change and, as a consequence the need to save energy. Insulation is one of the main measures that can be applied to reduce energy losses, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. In the construction industry certain measures have already been introduced a few years ago, such as reduction in permissible energy loss levels through improvements in insulation, and specifying energy classes. Significant transformation is also taking place in the design and installation of industrial insulation: from insulation provided for the sake of keeping personnel safe from burns to economically motivated insulation installations.

The main themes of the Conference: ⓦ methods of existing insulation evaluation ⓦ software for insulation calculations ⓦ standards for thermal insulation design ⓦ energy efficiency of insulation ⓦ white Certificates ⓦ modern design and execution of industrial

insulation

ⓦ economic thermal insulation ⓦ modern insulating materials ⓦ financial investments related to improvements

in energy efficiency

FESI General Assembly The European Federation of Associations of Insulation Contractors (FESI) was founded in 1970 in France. Today it represents 16 countries and over 3,300 companies. Every year the Federation convenes for an annual debate in one of the representative cities of a member state. This year, Krakow has been selected to host the FESI Assembly. The committee debates – which will take place in the International Exhibition and Convention Centre EXPO Krakow – will tackle such issues as thermal and acoustic insulation as well as training and recruitment. The common meeting will be devoted to the key issues and objectives for the FESI in the coming months.

10th FESI Apprentice Championship The FESI Assembly, 4INSULATION Trade Fair and the HEAT not LOST Conference will be accompanied by the FESI Apprentice Championship, endorsed with a registered FESI Federation trademark – which will take place for the first time in Poland this year. 14 young adepts in the art of industrial insulation fitting, who have been continually improving their qualifications, will compete in the 10th edition of the FESI Apprentice Championship. The competitors have been nominated by European associations belonging to the Federation, including the Polish Association of Industrial Insulation Contractors. The main idea behind the Championships is the promotion of high standards and quality of work in the industrial insulation sector, software solutions and professional training support.
