BACTERIAL MENINGITIS VACCINATION *requirement by the State of Texas Bacterial Meningitis is a serious, potentially deadly disease that is typically caused by bacterial infection and can spread quickly in large crowds of people, which is why the State of Texas requires all students under the age of 22 to be vaccinated against Bacterial Meningitis to attend any higher education institution in Texas. Before you start your first semester, you need to submit your Bacterial Meningitis record. Vaccination must be administered at least 10 days before the start of the semester and cannot be more than 5 years old.

TEXAS SUCCESS INITIATIVE (TSI) *requirement by the State of Texas

The Texas Success Initiative (TSI) is a state requirement that every student entering a public college or university must complete an assessment to enhance their likelihood of college success. You can meet this requirement in several ways, including: 1. Complete the TSI Assessment 2. Meet College Readiness Benchmarks on the ACT or SAT 3. Complete College Level Dual Credit Courses 4. Complete the self-paced TSI course through Texas College Bridge Your results are not going to prevent you from attending Tarleton. They will be used by your academic advisor when it is time to register for classes to ensure you are enrolled in classes that will set you up for success. Assessment documentation must be received before the first day of the semester or you will be dropped from your courses.

SECURE YOUR CAMPUS HOUSING First Year Residence Options

For most incoming freshmen, living on campus is required the first year. If you live within 45 miles of the Stephenville campus, you may request an exemption. Housing assignments begin in mid-October for students that have completed the housing application and paid the housing deposit. TARLETON PROMISE PROGRAM The Tarleton Promise Program will cover the remaining bill after a qualifying student’s scholarships and grants are applied to their account.
