FILE YOUR FAFSA
At Tarleton State, we’re committed to making higher education affordable and ensuring you have access to the resources you need. By filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), you open the door to grants, loans, work-study opportunities, and scholarships that can help cover your college costs.
The priority deadline to submit your FAFSA is March 15, 2025.
BEFORE YOU SUBMIT
To start your journey as a Tarleton State Texan, make sure to submit your application for admission. You'll need to be accepted to Tarleton before your financial aid package can be finalized.
APPLY FOR FAFSA EARLY
Starting on Dec. 1, 2024, you can submit the FAFSA for the 20252026 academic year. We encourage students to apply early, as some financial aid is distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Early applicants may also qualify for more scholarships and grants from Tarleton’s financial aid office.
Using the Federal Tax Information (FTI) system is required to securely transfer your tax data from the IRS into your FAFSA. Please note, all contributors must provide consent to access their FTI; without consent, the student will not be eligible to receive financial aid.
When completing the form, list Tarleton State University as your school, and use our Federal School Code: 003631.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I GET SELECTED FOR VERIFICATION?
If selected for FAFSA verification, our office will guide you through the process. Be sure to check your financial aid status and any required documentation on your Tarleton MyGateway account.
