Position Summary: The Community Services Development Support Officer (CSD Support Officer) is part of the Community Services Development team within the broader TasCOSS team. The role is an important contact point in TasCOSS for Tasmanian community service organisations to access information, support and development around the current priorities and issues in the industry. These priorities include governance, leadership, workforce, regulatory requirements, contractual arrangements, and evidence-based and consumer directed models of service. The CSD Support Officer will be tasked with supporting a continuous improvement process within TasCOSS and providing technical and administrative support across programs, including secretarial support for Community Services Industry Plan (2021-31) governance groups. Some intra/inter-state travel and occasional out-of-hours work may be required. Key Responsibilities/Tasks: 1. Work collaboratively with the broader Community Services Development team to provide technical, systems and administrative support, including scheduling, supporting and facilitating meetings, workshops and events. 2. Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including acting as a key point of contact for enquiries, events and programs. 3. Contribute to workplace culture by facilitating the continuous development, maintenance and improvement of internal policies and procedures.


4. Enhance the effectiveness of administrative and technical processes, including ensuring effective record keeping, and assisting in the preparation of agendas, minutes and regularly scheduled reports. 5. Undertake other duties relevant to the position as required.

Selection Criteria:

Essential 1. An understanding of the community services industry and demonstrated commitment to the principles of social justice. 2. High level skills in the Microsoft Office suite, demonstrated knowledge of a range of information technologies and systems, and the ability to support others to develop expertise. 3. A sound understanding of quality improvement and the ability to exercise judgement and contribute knowledge to ensure organisational policies and procedures are up-to-date and adhere to necessary legislative and regulatory requirements. 4. Experience in building positive working relationships internally and externally and in working collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders to effect change. 5. Well-developed administrative, problem-solving, organisational and time management skills and experience, including providing secretarial and technical support of a complex nature. 6. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. 7. Current Working with Vulnerable People registration and National Police Check or ability to obtain registration.
