Fixed-term — ASAP through to 30 June 2022, may be extended subject to funding 0.8 FTE (30.4 hours per week)

Summary of Position: As part of the TasCOSS team, the Community Services Industry Workforce Project Support Officer will be tasked with coordinating the administrative and project support functions related to the implementation of the Tasmanian Community Services Industry Plan (2021-2031). The role is based in Hobart and will work with a broad range of stakeholders to establish the governance structure and implement the key actions which sit under the Workforce Development and Training strategic priority. Immediate action will be taken in the three funded priority areas (marked * below): Community Services Workforce Coalition. * Community services awareness campaign. * Training and workforce development fund (Training and Assessment Cert IV and Workforce Ready Team). * Volunteer workforce planning. Peer workforce approaches. The role is required to work with minimal supervision in setting priorities, exercising initiative and professional judgement. Some intra/inter-state travel and occasional out-of-hours work may be required. TasCOSS expects all staff members to engage in continuous quality improvement. Key Responsibilities/Tasks: 1. As part of the TasCOSS team, work in partnership with Skills Tasmania and other stakeholders to establish and support a Community Services Workforce Coalition.

2. High-level administrative duties and executive support related to establishing the governance and implementation of the Industry Plan. 3. Maintain effective information management processes. 4. Engage with key stakeholders in the project and assist in the project rollout of the Workforce Training and Development strategic priority. 5. Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including the community services industry, government agencies and officers, training providers and other relevant bodies. 6. Assist in effective record keeping and data collection systems within TasCOSS. 7. Undertake other duties relevant to the role as directed. Selection Criteria:

Essential 1. A broad understanding of the role and challenges faced by the community services industry and demonstrated commitment to the principles of social justice. 2. An understanding of project management and experience in project support. 3. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively within a team in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, while meeting deadlines and contributing to a positive workplace culture. 4. Excellent oral and written communication skills. 5. Confidence in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, committee meeting procedures and minute taking. 6. Well-developed organisational and time management skills. 7. Current Working with Vulnerable People registration and National Police Check or ability to obtain registration. 8. Superior skills with the Microsoft Office suite of products (i.e. Outlook, Access, Excel, Publisher, Word) and basic level IT troubleshooting.
