TasCollab — Community Voice Partnership Program Join our project and help shape a future where all Tasmanians can live a good life. Let’s face it, you’re the real expert when it comes to what it’s like to live in Tasmania today. TasCOSS, in partnership with Aurora Energy, Hydro Tasmania and TasNetworks, are launching ‘TasCollab’ — a collaboration across community and different organisations to tackle inequality in lutruwita/Tasmania with the aim of making your community a better and fairer place to live. But to be successful, TasCollab needs your voice and your stories. To help us gather these stories we are setting up a Community Voice Partnership Program and we warmly invite you to join by becoming a Community Voice Partner. Bring your real life experiences and challenges of living in lutruwita/Tasmania to help us identify problems, come up with solutions and create positive change in your community. What does a Community Voice Partner do? • • • • • •
Contribute around 50 hours of time over the course of the project (August 2021—June 2022). Share stories about your own experiences. Help identify real life challenges facing you and your community and share ideas on how to overcome those challenges. Attend meetings with the TasCollab team in nipaluna/Hobart or online. Chat to your neighbours, friends and family to collect stories and ideas on issues affecting your community. Provide feedback on ideas.
As a Community Voice Partner, you will… BE HEARD: Sharing your experiences can help create the change you want to see in your community. BE PAID: At a rate of $30 per hour. We will also reimburse you for any additional expenses related to your attendance in the program, such as travel or parking, up to $100 over the course of the project. BE SUPPORTED: We know sharing your personal experiences can be hard, so we will provide you with time, training and support to feel comfortable working with TasCollab. BE VALUED: We value your participation. You’ll receive a Certificate of Participation following your involvement as a Community Voice Partner which you can use to help with future opportunities, such as in job applications.
