-City In Flux - BA HONS Project (1)

This project was entitled ‘City In Flux’ and was our first project during first year at university. This project was mainly for our tutors to understand all our design styles / research methods and inspirations. I based my projects around the idea of isolation in the city. Mainly the idea that even when you are surrounded by hundreds of people it is still completely possibly to feel isolated. For this I produced a photography based book.

- Earth Artifact - BA HONS Project (2)

This project was entitled ‘Earth Artifact’ and was our second project during first year at university. I based my projects around the Solar System and I created info-graphics (visual information) about each planet. I also created a fold out informative booklet.

- Vector Illustrations - Personal Work

Inspired by a Marylin Monroe tutorial at university I began a series of vector illustrations to see how far my skills could take me. I began with Uma Thurman (Mia Wallace) of Pulp Fiction, then Walter White from Breaking Bad. Two of my flatmates also wanted illustrating in a vector style.

-Low-Poly Illustrations - Personal Work

During the ‘Earth Artifact’ project at university, I found a love of ‘Low-Poly’ Illustrations. It is a technique that involved geometric triangles. I illustrated the planets for the Earth Artifact project then I put my hand to creating portraits. I have done Elly Jackson of La Roux, and Ruby Rose, an Australian DJ, actress and model.

- Change Campaign - BTEC Foundation Degree Project

This is a poster I designed for a college project during my BTEC Foundation Course.

- Papercuts - Little Bird

I developed a love of paper cutting during Sixth Form after finding artists such as Rob Ryan, Su Blackwell and the company Paper Panda. This is a series of paper cuts I have made myself. Some are omissions, university projects and artist research experiments.

- Go Ape

- Foundation Degree Final Major Project (Merit Award) These are my final major project pieces from my BTEC Foundation Course. For my project I re-branded Go Ape using ‘paper cutting’ to create a forest scene with a figure on a zip-wire. I created a series of posters, billboard posters, bus adverts and much more for this project.

-Patient Memoirs

- North West Evening Mail Advertisment I was approached by a Doctor at my local hospital who needed some design advice. He was sending an advert to our local news paper for ‘Patient Memoirs’ and wanted to revamp the advert he already had as it wasn’t striking or eye catching. The first advert you see is the original one, and the second one is the one I designed. Our aim for this advert was to clean the design up and simplify it so it was more eye catching and up to date.

- Chequers Hotel - Wedding Magazine Advertisments These are advertisments that were designed with the purpose of printing them in ‘Cumbria Weddings’ Magazine. The design was used and printed in the magazine Spring of 2012.

- St Mary’s Hospice - Forget Me Not Tea Room & Gift Shop

This is a logo I designed for St Mary’s Hospice. They recently opened the Forget Me Not Tea Room & Gift Shop in my hometown and my logo was used.

- Fred Whitton Website Imagery - Pixel Tweaks Internship

This is from the Fred Whitton Challenge website. During my internship, Summer 2014, I was asked to update the target imagery from 2014 to 2015. The first image is what was used on the website for 2014, and the 2nd image is the one i designed for 2015. This is currently on the website until we need a new one for 2016.

- Wishing Well Logo - Pixel Tweaks Internship

This is a simple design update logo for Wishing Well Therapies where we changed contact details etc, added a back to the business card (previously it was all on one side) and added her new logo.

- Summer Concert Poster - Barrow Sixth Form College

This is a poster I designed for a college summer concert. These posters were passed around the college, put up on social media and also the college website. Along side this is the ticket that was used on the night of the event.
