IXP IXP Campaigns must always promote the real value proposition of GCDP and GIP programs, which is Leadership Development (LDM). But the message must be adapted for each public, showing the benefits for their current role and their career plan (New members, TMPs, TLPs) "The Dream TN in LC Meeting": In a LC meeting make a session in which you ask all the members to write which is their dream exchange, the country and projects, and what is stopping them from doing their X. Someone makes a sharing about his or her IXP experience. In the next LC meeting or the team meetings you delivery them TNs with the characteristics they wrote the meeting before and share the experience of someone that overcame challenges and excuses to have their IXP, and stimulate them to check that TN and see other options so they can have their IXP. Visual strategies: Change facebook cover. Use the LC office to promote IXP with maps where people can mark where they want to go, or with photos of people who already did a GCDP/GIP, etc. Send TNs and GCDP/GIP projects through the LC newsletter. General Strategies
Use the LC communication channels to publish stories about members and alumni IXP experiences, without identifying the person, and the members must discover who's that experience from. This dynamics can be done only to generate interaction with the IXP campaign or it can give rewards for the members. Global Village Off Peak (it can be in a conference) - If there are trainees in the LC, make a small internal global village so they can promote their country and their LCs to the members. It is interesting to promote countries your LC have cooperation with. IXP Sessions in local conferences - A tip is to have a session where the plenary is divided in small groups in which they will hear the stories of someone's exchange experience (exemple of what people can share: who was the person that impacted her the most, what did the person discovered about themselves during the exchange, what changed in their AIESEC work after they came back from the exchange, etc)
Strategies para for new members
Strategies for TLPs
Present in the induction the relevance of having your own exchange experience, have sessions about career planning focused on having a GCDP or GIP experience. (Can be during a coaching meeting) Leaders help the new members to build their career plan, question them when they want to make a GCDP/GIP, what the member want to develop in AIESEC and show him how the exchange experience connects with that, show that the exchange also develops leadership. Session focused for the Project Managers: They write a letter for themselves, their future self that had an IXP experience is writing to them about how their exchange experience changed them and changed their leadership towards their team. After the VPs can hand them this letter in a coaching meeting. Members of TLPs that did IXP share with the LC (it can be in a meeting, conference or communication channels) how their leaders exchange experience helped to improve the TLP management and leadership skills and improved the team work in daily basis. VPs develop Project Managers career planning about IXP with them.
