UPPER SCHOOL ADDITIONS
CONCENTRATION PROGRAM
The Concentration Program gives interested students an opportunity to study a particular academic field with the focus and depth of a collegiate scholar Students who complete the program will be recognized for their efforts and achievements at the culmination of their experience The program will open during the 2023-2024 school year with three tracks Environmental Science Visual Art and Performing Art with plans on expanding into more tracks in the future
ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES
This concentration is meant to support students who have a strong interest in biology field ecology and environmental science and it provides students with a strong foundation in statistical analysis and research It also includes opportunities to explore environmental engineering or sustainable design

The Tatnall School's Campus sits on over 110 acres of land! The resources on campus will allow us to provide the most dynamic environmental science program in the greater Wilmington area
PERFORMING ARTS
This concentration is meant to support students that have a strong interest in the Performing Arts, and it provides students with a strong foundational study of a variety of performing genres, including music (instrumental and vocal), acting, stage production, and set/lighting design
VISUAL ARTS
This concentration is meant to support students who have a strong interest in the Visual Arts It provides students with a strong foundation in a variety of mediums and techniques while allowing for the ability to develop advanced skills in an art form of their choice (Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Sculpture, Digital Art, Photography, Ceramics, Mixed Media, and Installation)
NEW COURSE
ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE RESEARCH
Environmental Science Research is a scientific foundations course rooted in inquiry and data acquisition and analysis This project-based course allows students to utilize a range of equipment and resources to apply concepts of chemistry physics and biology within the context of environmental science This course develops research skills early in the Tatnall Upper School student’s career to ensure a solid foundation for future advanced science courses
UD PARTNERSHIP
This coming spring a partnership with UD's College of Earth Ocean & Environment begins with students participating in an online course (MAST 215) Understanding Climate Change A second opportunity to partner with UD will start in the '23-'24 school year with UD's Early College Credit Program (ECC) In this program juniors and seniors can take introductory courses in the Arts Social Sciences and Science free of charge These courses will be taught asynchronously online and allow Tatnall students to earn both high school and college credits
