WHERE YOUR DUES GO

The TLW receives $125 of your annual dues; the remainder stays with your local league. The amount of dues that local leagues charge varies from $0 to $50 annually. The breakdown of the $125 that goes to the TLW is as follows:

$67.50 stays with the TLW to pay for:

• A headquarters office building.

• A monthly TLW newsletter to keep you abreast of legislative issues facing our industry, details of events and activities going on within the organization, as well as a calendar of events.

• On Premise magazine, which is published six times a year, the official publication of the TLW that keeps you up to date on the latest happenings in your association and your industry.

The remainder of your annual dues amount to:

• $27.50 to employ a full-time government affairs director (or lobbyist) to stay on top of legislative issues facing us in the state Capitol. (It is nondeductible as a business expense.)
