( Pete looked out the window, “I wonder what would make my life happier”)
Pete's Adventure Chapter 1 One Morning in the Caribbean, it was a great hot sunny day, everyone was up doing their kind of thing. Pete looked out of the window. " I wonder what would make my life happier". Pete said still looking out of the window " Dear! food's ready!" Said his mum. " Coming mother!" Said Pete. He hurried downstairs to see his Dad looking at him furiously. " Pete! come with me please!" said his Father. Pete was very surprised because he thought he was going to have breakfast. Pete went outside with his Father, Then his Father pointed to the car, " Who did this!?" Said his Father. The Car was scratched top to bottom! Chapter 2 Pete looked at the car then back at his Dad, "Dad! believe me! i didn't do it!" he said. "Who did this then?!" Pete's dad shouted angrily, "I really don't know Dad!" Pete said. "Dad answered
"Son! you better not be lying!" "Dad, i'm very very sure it wasn't me, it could of been, ummm....i don't know, someone". Pete's mum came outside then looked at the car. "Pete! did you do this?" Said his mum. "No mum, i'm going to discover who did that, can i?" "Dad answered, " maybe....If you find the person, or who ever scratched my car, you will be rewarded with lots of food and a ride on my boat". "Wow dad thank you!" said Pete. Pete went up to his room and thought about what he would need for to track down the person or animal who scratched the car, he doubted that he would ever find that person, he really doubted he would find the animal but he reminded himself that he would get the best reward he has ever had before. So he made a plan that he would look in the jungle, houses of people, and the seaside.
( Becy and Jade looked at each other and and said “What is da boy saying?” )
Chapter 3 The next morning Pete was ready to go, now but before he went he thought that he would need friends to help him with finding the person who scratched his dad's car. So Pete went out to search for his new friends, he looked around the neighborhood and he found no one except old people who were saying how that little boy wants to start a cute Adventure, bless his heart......something like that He walked to a park and found two girls there, they were speaking
a Caribbean kind of English together Pete could understand them so he came over. Pete came over and said "hi, guys" the girls looked at each other, "Wat is da boy saying?" said one of the girls, The other girl said " I don't no wat he say". The girl before answered " Anyway, my name is Becy and my friend on the other side of me ( the other girl waved) is Jade". " ok.....so yeah, i need help ". Pete said, Becy answered " The boy needs help hahaha, the boys dis here don't ask girls to help them". "why not?" said Pete, " Because they can fend for demselfs ". Said Jade, " I don't get it, boys from america can ask for help, anyway, My Dad's car is scratched and i need to find a the person or animal who scratched his car". Said Pete. " Wat your name? you are a funny boy, if you want help find another boy". Said Becy. "My name is Pete but please help me! i really really need help my father will punish me and..... before Pete could say more Becy answered. "Ok, we will help you, because we so kind enough to help you". " Pete laughed in victory and said, "Thank you." "Now wat do we do?" said Becy and Jade.
(They all waited for a plan, then Pete said “Yeah I got it!” )
Chapter 4 "I'm just going to figure out what we are going to do Becy and Jade". Said Pete, " I jus hope it doesn't take too long". Said Jade. " I'm sure it wouldn't be that long " said Pete. they all waited
and waited for a plan, then Pete said, "Yeah i got it!" " Wat is it?" said becy yawning. " I've figured out a plan!" Said Pete " Wat plan? " said Jade. " Well the plan is that i go the left way u girls go different paths". "Wat?!" Said Becy and Jade, " I thought this was a joke!" said Becy, " Jade, lets go into the jungle and help him find the animal, Pete will look for the person with his gadgets or watever". Said Becy Pete looked at lots of people but they didn't look suspicious.....so he went to the jungle to look for Jade and Becy.....Meanwhile, Jade said to becy " I hear somtin snorting!, i'm just abit scared it's getting late. Becy answered " We should of never listened to that boy, he made a silly plan!". There was more snorting, it got nearer and nearer, and nearer!!! then a multitude of hogs with huge tusks came running and snorting much louder! Jade stared in horror, " Becy! look!". Becy turned around then saw those pigs and ran for their lives! Becy and Jade shouted and the village suspected something was wrong so they went into the Jungle in a hurry. Pete heard some screaming but he didn't know what it was, he then bumped into a villager, " Wat u doing out here little boy?!" said the villager. " ummm ah, I'm I'm just looking for my friends ". Pete stuttered, the old villager stared him right in the face, " Yah better not be lying, it late out in this jungle". Pete answered " Then why are u out here?” The old villager slapped him and said " Don't question old men when they speak to you!" Pete ran away.
( Jade woke up in the man’s arms and yawned, “Where am I?” )
Chapter 5 Pete was frightened about going back into the forest but he still had to look for his friends Becy and Jade. Meanwhile, Becy and Jade were in a huge tree because they had ran away from those horrible pigs! They were calling for help and someone came, “ Where are you children?” said the man, Becy answered quickly, “We are up here!”. The man came up the tree with all his might and safely brought them down. Jade woke up in the man’s arms and yawned, “Where am I?” She said. The man answered and Said, “You are safe little girl, why have you been out here at this time of night?” Jade answered,” This boy named Pete got us into this and asked us to find the person or animal would have scratched the car”. The man answered, “What kind of crazy person would do that?” Becy answered,”PETE!” Jade said “ Where is Pete anyway?” Becy answered” I don’t know”.
( Becy was frantic! ) Chapter 6
Pete’s was busy looking for Becy and Jade, but then something distracted him. Pete saw a
mysterious looking house and there was a golden coconut on top of the house! he decided to get to the top and forgot about Becy and Jade. Now, Becy was frantic because Pete became a good friend to them, the man’s wife gave the two of them cornmeal soup and they lapped it up fast. Pete got hold of the gold coconut but then fell off the house! but he managed to fall in soft grass. Jade was happy at the man’s home but she wanted to go back to her own house, she knew that her parents were very worried, so the man and his wife decided to make a plan.
(Jade screamed “Pete!” she laughed and smiled so much that day that Becy couldn’t help laughing at her. ) Chapter 7 Pete remembered that he should be looking for Becy and Jade, so he kept on finding them with his gold coconut. Pete finally saw them! they were further ahead with the man Becy found that saw them up in the tree. Pete ran to them and shouted and then Jade screamed” Pete!” she laughed and smiled so much that day that Becy couldn’t help laughing at her. Becy was happy that Pete came but they still had to find the animal or human that scratched the car which was impossible! so Jade made a plan, She said “maybe we would find the animal or person where your dad’s car is right now!” Pete went to his house’s garage and looked inside it and found more scratches under his dad’s engine! Pete certainly did not want his father to find out that there was more scratches so he told no one about the scratches even Becy and Jade did not know.
Pete was angry at himself that he didn’t tell his friends but he decided he would tell them after.
( Becy looked in the garage and gasped! she saw an 8 inch spider on the car, she jumped and went behind Pete )
Chapter 8 Pete went to his house to sleep because it was late and he was very tired. Pete woke up and saw his dad staring down at him, He said to me “Wake up, after you eat breakfast you better find out who scratched my car!” Pete ate his scrambled egg and toast and found Becy and Jade and went into his garage, Becy looked in the garage and gasped! she saw an 8 inch spider on the car, she jumped and went behind Pete. Pete said not to be scared and he crushed the spider and it spilt into half! Becy was so happy that the horrible spider was gone. Jade was also horrified, she hated spiders and she was thankful that Pete had killed it.
( My mother laughed so hard she couldn’t even talk after that. )
Chapter 9
Pete tied his shoes and went outside to search some more, but then Jade said look! Pete saw something scurry around and it left a scratch on his dad’s car! he had to find out what it was! Pete’s mother came in with some cookies then she saw two little eyes looking at her and its teeth were snarling. This creature was a rat! his mum fainted and Pete called his father and he got his gun and killed the filthy thing then woke up his mother. Pete then told his mother the whole story and she laughed so hard she couldn’t even talk after that. Now I knew that we were the best family ever! My father painted up the scratches then he told me something really important. My father said “ I could have the boat ride and loads of gifts!” I was the happiest boy in the whole caribbean!
