ERIC AHO
Eric Aho paints wild, abstract paintings that are evocative of the natural forms in our environment. By establishing elements that give the audience a cohesive sense of place, Aho’s compositions artfully play with light, depth and color to create a mysterious quality within each defamiliarized scene. Each painting captures an intimate experience within the natural world inviting the audience to escape to the contemplative, vibrant environment before them.

JOHN ALEXANDER
John Alexander’s paintings and works on paper depict uncanny scenes that incite a profound message about the dissolution of both our political and natural environments. His compositions display the beauty inherent to our natural world in way that is comparable to historic masters such as Claude Monet and the artists of the Hudson River School. While reminiscent in imagery and formal acuity, Alexander’s work transcends these past visionaries to suggest something disruptive within each scene. From landscapes, to still lifes, to portraits of political and social figures, Alexander unites his diverse subjects through his intriguing and often satirical portrayal of our ecological and social domains.

TUCK FAUNTLEROY
Tuck Fauntelroy’s work has a distinctive aesthetic that is both western, painterly, and unique. Although Fauntleroy is not a painter, his Waterline Series explores the painterly lines of the rivers flowing through the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Fauntleroy’s genius stems from his ability to combine the principles of painterly abstraction with black and white photography. He captures ephemeral moments dictated by seasons and time. A labor-intensive body of work, Fauntleroy chartered flights for ten years in order to capture the brief and delicate moment in the spring when the rivers break through the ice and snow- yet the surrounding environment remains covered in snow. The river’s meandering line determines the composition while the photograph displays the elegance and simplicity of the natural environment. Fauntleroy’s work explores a changing sense of place, capturing ephemeral moments dictated by seasons and time.

CAIO FONSECA
Abstract painter, Caio Fonseca aims to recreate the timeless, universal form of Baroque music. Classically trained as a pianist, Fonseca represents the irreducible relationship between tone and rhythm within his paintings on canvas and on paper. Composed against a textured, off-white background, each of his artworks have geometric blocks of dynamic color that weave across the canvas evoking the movement of invisible musical compositions. Fascinated by how two blocks of color can form a third due to the perception of background and foreground, Fonseca’s aesthetic has evolved over the years to concentrate on the ambiguity of positive and negative space.

WOLF KAHN
German artist Wolf Kahn is considered to be one of the most influential colorists of our time. Blending the artistic movements of Realism and Color Field within each artwork, Kahn blurs the boundary between pictorial landscape and painterly abstraction. Inspired by the scenery surrounding his farm in Vermont, much of Kahn’s work depicts weathered barns, groves of trees, and undulating pastures. Beginning with seemingly modest scenes, Kahn’s artistic vision erupts these landscapes with blazing, luminous color that transforms the imagery into an ingenious masterpiece.

EMILY MASON
Emily Mason paints dramatic masterpieces with intense, bold colors. Exposed at a young age to world-renowned artists such as Piet Mondrian and Joan Miró, Mason dedicated her life to exploring the subtle nuances that exude from captivating pigments placed side by side. Uniting the artistic movements of Color Field and Lyrical Abstraction, Mason’s work achieves a unique and visually arresting aesthetic. Flooding her canvas with vivid colors in fluid, geometric shapes, Mason uses the complex tonalities of each color to express her deep sense of light and atmosphere.

JANE ROSEN
Jane Rosen creates elegant handblown glass and carved limestone sculptures along with captivating works
on
paper. Deeply
passionate
about
the
magnificence of animals, Rosen’s artwork often depicts ravens, hawks and horses in a mysterious yet striking way that highlights the relationship between perception and cognition. Synthesizing her understanding of the connections between nature, science, history and art, Rosen’s work is based in the basic laws of nature. Studied in Renaissance drawing and Asian calligraphy, Rosen illuminates the surreptitious laws of nature that have been the core subject of art for centuries. Constantly inspired by the animals that surround her ranch in Northern California, Rosen’s compositions capture the essential, natural energy intrinsic to each animal.
