Data Analytics

DATA ANALYTICS • 29

Marketing Data

What We Do

The Data Analytics team seeks to help you use data – your most precious asset – to make more informed business decisions and to deliver the right marketing messages to the right people at the right times. These data-related services generally fall into the following categories.

Data Maturity Assessment

We can help you identify better ways of using data to achieve business goals.

Data Strategy Consulting

We asses your current data strategy and provide recommendations for everything from data collection methods and the selection of database systems and association management software (AMS) to the job descriptions staff members need for you to support the data strategy.

30 • CUSTOMER HANDBOOK

Data Warehousing (a.k.a. Data Lake)

We pull data together from multiple systems to give you a holistic 360° view of your customers and prospects. This involves the elimination of “data silos,” making data accessible and paving the way for various data analytics techniques (see below).

Segmentation and Profiling

We use data sources to cluster your existing prospects based on characteristics such as purchase behavior, demographics and lifetime value (LTV) profitability metrics. The goal is to create segments and “customer journey maps” that are predictive of how those customers/prospects will interact with your brand and respond to different marketing offers.

DATA ANALYTICS • 31

Prospect Scoring

We use available data to “score” prospects in terms of their likelihood to make a purchase, renew a subscription, join an organization, etc. A scoring model helps you determine how to spend your marketing dollars more efficiently to maximize marketing ROI.

Conference Attendance Analytics

We can help you identify trends in who is attending (or not attending) your conferences and events using demographics, geography and other data points.

Renewal Reporting

We analyze membership renewal rates by location, member type, demographics, etc., to determine which renewal campaign tactics are working best and whether certain marketing outreach efforts can be eliminated to maximize overall ROI.

32 • CUSTOMER HANDBOOK

Lead Generation

We research and then purchase specialized marketing lists for you, “enhancing” the data with demographics, firmographics, reverse telephone number appends, etc.

Hardcode Non-Responder Analysis (HCNR)

A suppression file is created for direct mail and email lists that analyzes prior non-responders. The goal is to identify the ideal number of contacts where response rates and ROI drop off to the point of being an inefficient use of marketing dollars.

Prospect (“lookalike”) Modeling

We use your data, demographics, firmographics and other data enhancements to separate prospects who are likely to respond positively from those who are not. The goal is to help you filter out people who are unlikely to buy so you can focus your marketing dollars on top prospects.

Record Communication Management

We manage the data behind “marketing communication journeys.” Data from these systems is used to re-engage lapsed customers, cross-sell and up-sell, deliver subscription reminders, and create other triggered communications.

DATA ANALYTICS • 33

What Sets Us Apart

SUSTAINABILITY IN ACTION

Taylor applies its expertise in label materials and engineering to increase the sustainability of label programs:

• Our “thin-stock” labels are engineered to reduce total thickness of the label while preserving overall performance. The resulting label constructions are up to 50% thinner, generating 27% fewer greenhouse gases and creating 26% less waste overall while reducing the number of roll changes, storage space and distribution costs necessary.

• Our linerless label constructions eliminate the label liner — a material that is ordinarily thrown away when the label is applied. Linerless label rolls are also 75% longer, lighter and take up less space than conventional label rolls. This decreases roll change, storage and transportation costs for you.

• Taylor offers a wide variety of sustainabilitysourced label stocks (e.g., certified by the Forest Stewardship Council® or Sustainable Forestry Initiative®).

SUSTAINABILITY IN ACTION

Preserving Earth by Taylor is a comprehensive set of programs, technologies and business practices that give you a more sustainable way to use signs and graphics:

Recrylic®: Acquired by Taylor, Recrylic is the world’s only line of certified recycled acrylic. Using Recrylic instead of non-recycled virgin acrylic reduces carbon emissions by 90%. Recrylic is 100% recycled acrylic, is 100% recyclable after use, looks and performs like non-recycled acrylic, and costs the same.

rSERIES™ Fabrics: Taylor is one of the first U.S. companies to embrace recycled fabrics as its standard offering for signs and graphics products. All provide the same performance as traditional SEG fabrics at the same price point, enabling an easy switch to a more sustainable alternative.

Recycling by Taylor: Recycling by Taylor is a closedloop recycling program that gives new life to fabric and rigid graphics. Simply ship obsolete signs and graphics to Taylor, we’ll ensure they are transformed into something else. We can even track the returns and provide data for your ESG scorecard.

Colateral®: Our use of Colateral campaign management software ensures that the exact size, style, version and quantity of materials is distributed to every store, reducing the amount of in-store marketing waste.
