Committee gives green light to housing plans ALMOST 900 homes have been given the go-ahead by Oxford City Council to be built in Barton, following a decision by the East Area Planning Committee on Tuesday night. Eight Labour and Liberal Democrat councillors voted in favour for 885 homes and a primary school to be built in West Barton, with Green Party councillor David Williams abstaining.
