Introduction

Bible and The Contradictions It is funny how the believers in Christianity follow God’s words along with his writings in the Bible but they both contradict each other a lot. This was an issue I felt was very important because Christians try to follow God’s words but contradict themselves because the Bible says something entirely different. “The Bible as God’s word reveals God’s moral character as well as shaping the morality of a Christian.” The Bible however says something different on homosexuality then what God believes. God made everyone in his own image and they should all be loved for who they are no matter what because they were made in his eyes. However, the Bible tells us, “If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltness is upon them.” Also like it will be explained in the slide on the non supporters of homosexuality, it says in 1 Cor. 6: 9-10, “Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolators, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God.” Christians follow the word of God but if they really were following his word, homosexuality would not receive all of the negativity it receives in today’s society. God is who you look up to and you beat around his true words. It is baffling, Christians will follow the Bible’s words because it condemns homosexuality in society but ignore God’s beliefs. Believers in Christianity do not want homosexuals to hold positions of power in society or be able to get married to their partners because they feel like it was not the “destined plan” when really life is how it is made. Everyone is their own person and made how they are made to
